Good in goodbye

Our conversation got me thinking.I hate secrets.I wonder if there more thing I don't know about my family,how that notebook helps in this situation.Even more,Lana had it,she knew my mom,why she didn't give it to her to look for that place?Lots of questions, similar with a puzzle. Gotta get the pieces right to solve it.
Back in the kitchen,Kilye just finished washing up our dishes.
"Maddy,you okay?" She said a bit concerned, being able to notice that something is bothering me.
"Yea,I guess.." "You remmember the notebook that she gave us?What do you think if I say that we have the key to look for that place Lana talks?" with a short break,i decided to tell Ky the truth.
"Yes,I do..Hold on!Are you for real?" Her face lightened straight away, smiling at me like a kid.
"Yes,apparently my mother tried to find that place.We can save everybody,is just.."
"Oh no,no.That doesn't sound good"
"Well..uhm.You see..is..uhm.." swallowing my own words.
"Stop it,Maddy! Just tell me what is it!" She raised her voice, more serious than ever.Is safe to say her hatred towards the implemented system grew,she wanted freedom,to take her own decisions,instead she got anger issues,unhappiness and a constant fight with everyone,apart from me.
"We kinda have to find those people,supposedly,ask for their help,tehnicly I am the only one who can convince them to fight the system.But is not as bad as is sounds"
A short break, just by the look on her face you could tell she either thinks I am crazy, or on some drugs.
"Okay" her blind answer took me by surprise.
"Okay?That's all?Really?" more confused than ever, I didn't expect Ky to react that way.
"What?Is gonna be a trip with my best friend. I've always supported you,that's what we do.Maybe we can actually change something, we don't know till we don't try at least. Did you think I will let you have all the fun?" A small smile, followed by a hug, and a decision was made.
Me and Ky will find that place. An unexpected trip,possibly a trap, to the unknown, my best friend following me to a possible death sentence;if the trip doesn't kill us,coming back to the camp will.
As I got lost in my own thoughts,a quick question wakes me up immediately
"Where is the notebook,Ky? "
"In my backpack."
"Let's see.." We both rushed to grab the book ,quickly turning the first page.
"Is nothing,this notebook is completely useless! I knew it!"
"What?No? Can't you see?Is a picture,Ky..a forest..it seems damaged .."
"No,to me is just white piece of paper,nothing on it."
"Looks similar with the one near us.Like,very similar."I said taking a closer look.
"This is probably the place.Looks similar,I am sure.First time we saw Lana,we got lost. I think is the same place that she found us,or maybe around her house."
"Can it be that easy? Maddy, is nothing there apart from trees,deal leaves..how do you know for sure?"
"The path!!" I shouted loud." I remember,we run ,saw the first path that we followed till it divided in 2 ways"
"Uhm,no?Is just one path,you got bushes on both sides."
"Just trust me"
"Okay,maybe we should go back,get some sleep,is better leaving in the morning. Also maybe packing a few things with us"
"Agreed."

Not sure about this decision, nor if is worth it getting into trouble. This plan better works, otherwise our life could be screwed. On a second though, if the plan does work, means saving the world. But still..what if?..
Having anxiety wasn't something new to me,however dealing with it without having little moments is hard. Focused on our journey, me and Ky spend the hole time going back to the camp building up a plan on for the trip.
