Savannah Sellers had no idea what she was getting herself into.
When Louis promised her the tour bus would be, as he put it, "the perfect place to crash," she thought it would be a cramped, stuffy mess of gear, fast food wrappers, and the unbearable noise of five teenage boys bouncing off the walls. She envisioned dark, dingy corners, with a mix of broken speakers, guitars, and stale air. A place where every surface would be covered in discarded energy drink cans and half-eaten snacks, where personal space was a myth and hygiene was optional. The usual backstage rockstar vibe.
But this? This was... something else.
She stepped onto the tour bus, and the first thing that hit her was how big it was—way bigger than she'd imagined. It had an oddly clean, fresh scent, and the space felt a lot more luxe than she'd expected. Not that she was about to admit it out loud, of course. There was no way she was going to let Louis know that she was secretly impressed. No way in hell.
It was like walking into a mobile hotel room, but cooler. It had a lounge area with plush, black leather couches that didn't look like they were covered in crumbs, like she thought they'd be. There was a big flat-screen TV mounted on one wall and a kitchen area that wasn't filled with suspicious takeout containers. In fact, there was an actual coffee machine. Like a fancy one.
"Jesus, Louis," she muttered under her breath. "Are you sure you're not renting this out for parties on the side?"
Louis, lounging in one of the plush seats with his legs spread out and his sunglasses still on, looked like the most arrogant rockstar in existence. "What can I say? I know how to live in style, babe. This isn't just any tour bus. This is the Louis Tomlinson Experience."
Savannah rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. The only experience you're giving me right now is a headache."
Louis grinned, unbothered by her sarcasm, and took a dramatic sip from his drink. "You'll love it. I promise. You're in for the ride of your life."
Ignoring his snark, she walked past him, toward the back of the bus. The bunks were lined up neatly against one wall, each one with a personalized nameplate—Louis's at the front, followed by Zayn's, Liam's, Harry's, and Niall's. There was something oddly comforting about how normal it all looked, like this was their home.
"I was expecting something a bit more..." Savannah trailed off, squinting at the bunks. "You know, something that smells like sweaty socks and regret?"
Louis raised a brow and looked at her as though she'd just insulted his mother. "Oi, who do you think you're talking to? We're not amateurs, Sav. This is a proper operation."
"Sure, Tomlinson," she muttered, still skeptical as she continued down the aisle. "And I'm definitely not the only one who's going to get a rude awakening here, am I?"
At that moment, the bus door opened, and in walked the rest of the lads.
First, Zayn Malik strolled in, looking effortlessly cool as always. His dark hair was tousled just enough to make him look like he'd just rolled out of bed, but his posture screamed "too cool for school." He gave Savannah a quick, assessing look before leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, and muttering a quiet, "Oi."
Then, Harry Styles entered, his signature curls bouncing as he smiled like he owned the world. His eyes gleamed with mischief, and his grin stretched across his face as though he was permanently in on a joke. He made his way over to her without hesitation, offering a hand. "Welcome aboard, love. You're going to have to keep up with us, yeah?"
Savannah couldn't help but roll her eyes, but she took his hand. "We'll see about that, won't we?"
"Right. I'm sure you'll be keeping us on our toes," Harry said with a wink. "You've got your work cut out for you."
Next up was Liam Payne, who, for all his boyish charm, looked like the type to lecture you on how to properly manage your finances. He gave her a warm smile as he introduced himself, his hand outstretched in a gesture that made him seem like the most down-to-earth of the group. "Nice to finally meet you, Savannah. I've heard a lot about you," he said, his tone sincere.
Savannah raised an eyebrow. "Oh? I can't wait to hear what Louis has been saying."
Liam chuckled. "Don't worry, it's all good things. Mostly."
Before she could respond, Niall Horan bounded into the bus with an exaggerated skip in his step, his infectious smile lighting up the whole space. "Hey, hey! There she is!" He waved enthusiastically, practically running over to give her a hug. "Louis didn't tell me you were this cool."
"Yeah, well," Savannah said with a smile, "I've been working on my 'coolness' for years. Just don't expect me to put up with all your nonsense, alright?"
Niall burst out laughing. "No promises, Sav. But I'm glad you're here. Louis says you're the best at putting him in his place."
"I sure am," she said with a wink, "and don't think I'm not going to keep doing it."
Zayn couldn't hide the small grin that tugged at the corner of his lips. "Good luck with that. Louis is a pain in the arse, and the rest of us are no better."
Savannah gave him a sarcastic look. "Oh, believe me. I've heard enough. No one warned me I was stepping into a zoo."
Louis, who'd been watching her with a proud grin, stood up dramatically and spread his arms. "Welcome to the madness, Sellers. It's all part of the experience."
"You really think I'm going to survive this?" Savannah asked with a grin, letting the sarcasm drip from her words.
"Absolutely," Louis replied. "Besides, you've got five idiots to keep you company. What's not to love?"
Savannah turned to survey the lounge area of the bus, but she knew this was just the beginning. The tour was about to kick off, and she was about to be submerged into a world of chaos, fans, rehearsals, and backstage antics. No amount of sarcasm was going to prepare her for what was ahead.
Still, there was something oddly comforting about this. The boys had been thrust into this whirlwind together, and now she was here, too, ready to jump right into the madness.
It wasn't going to be easy—no, this was going to be a test of patience, nerves, and willpower—but one thing was for sure: Savannah was in it now.
And there was no turning back.
"So," Louis said, sliding into the seat next to her as he draped an arm across the back of the couch, "ready to survive the next chapter of your life?"
Savannah shot him a look. "Not sure about survival, but I'm definitely ready for the chaos. Bring it on."
And just like that, the madness truly began.
