Life on the road with One Direction was not for the faint-hearted. Savannah had been living in close quarters with five teenage boys for weeks now, and she was beginning to wonder how she hadn't completely lost her sanity yet. Sure, the lads were charming, hilarious, and could sing like angels, but they were also messy, loud, and constantly up to something.
At this point, Savannah had developed a routine: survive the day, dodge Louis' nonstop sass, and try not to lose her mind over Liam walking around shirtless. It wasn't easy.
"Oi, Savannah!" Louis called out, popping his head around the corner of the bus, a devilish grin on his face. "You left your headphones on the couch, and now they're mine. Finders keepers, love!"
"Louis," Savannah groaned, glaring at him. "Put them back before I shove them so far down your throat that you'll hear music coming out of your ass."
Louis gasped dramatically, clutching his chest like he'd been personally attacked. "Well, excuse me! Someone woke up on the wrong side of Liam's bed."
The other lads burst out laughing, Liam included, though he was clearly blushing. "I'm just being polite!" Liam defended, holding his hands up. "She needed a place to sleep!"
"Oh, is that what they're calling it now?" Louis teased, wagging his eyebrows.
Savannah threw a pillow at him, which he dodged with the grace of someone who'd been annoying people his whole life. "You're such a little shit, Louis," she said, shaking her head.
"Correction: I'm a superstar," Louis shot back, spinning dramatically and strutting down the aisle of the bus like it was his personal runway.
"Super pain in my ass is more like it," Savannah muttered, though she couldn't help but laugh.
Meanwhile, Niall was sitting at the small kitchen table, demolishing a bag of crisps like it was his life's mission. "You two fight like an old married couple," he said between bites, crumbs falling onto his shirt.
"Yeah, well, if we were married, Louis would already be six feet under," Savannah replied, grabbing a soda from the fridge.
Harry, lounging on the couch with his legs thrown over Zayn, smirked. "Sav, you're pretty violent, you know that? You sure you're not secretly Louis' twin?"
"God, no," she said, pretending to shudder. "One of him is bad enough."
"Oi!" Louis shouted from the back of the bus. "I heard that, you slag!"
"Good!" she yelled back, flipping him off even though he couldn't see it.
Despite the constant banter, Savannah couldn't deny that life on tour was something special. The lads were like a dysfunctional family, and she was quickly becoming part of it. Every day was filled with laughter, music, and a fair amount of chaos.
During the shows, she watched in awe as the boys commanded the stage, their voices blending together perfectly. The screaming fans, the flashing lights, the energy—it was all surreal. And though she hated to admit it, she was becoming a fan herself.
After one particularly wild concert, the lads piled back onto the bus, still buzzing with energy. Louis was the last to get on, holding a shoe in one hand and his phone in the other. "Some crazy bitch stole my left shoe," he announced, tossing the remaining one onto the floor. "Who even does that?!"
"Maybe she was a one-shoe kind of gal," Harry suggested, earning a laugh from Niall.
"Or maybe she wanted to smell it," Zayn added with a smirk, causing Louis to gag dramatically.
"You're all disgusting," Louis said, flopping onto the couch next to Savannah. "And you, missy, still owe me for that assault earlier."
Savannah raised an eyebrow. "Assault? You mean the pillow? God, you're such a drama queen."
"Excuse you," Louis said, pointing a finger at her. "It's called being fabulous. You should try it sometime."
"I'm fabulous enough, thanks," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Doubtful," Louis shot back, crossing his arms.
As the night went on, the boys started winding down, though "winding down" for them still involved plenty of noise and chaos. Niall was munching on yet another snack, Harry was playing guitar, Zayn was doodling in his notebook, and Liam was busy organizing something because, of course, he was.
Savannah, sitting at the table with a drink in hand, let her eyes wander to Liam. He was wearing a simple white T-shirt that clung to his chest in all the right ways, and she found herself staring a little too long.
"Caught you!" Louis suddenly shouted, pointing at her with a wicked grin.
"Caught me what?" she said, pretending to be clueless.
"Looking," Louis said, drawing out the word like it was some scandalous secret. "At Liam. Don't even try to deny it."
Savannah's face turned bright red, and she quickly looked away. "You're full of shit," she said, taking a sip of her drink to avoid his gaze.
"Oh, am I?" Louis said, standing up and addressing the whole bus. "Oi, lads! Sav's been ogling Payne over here like he's a piece of prime rib!"
Liam froze, mid-sentence, his eyes widening. "Wait, what?"
"I was not," Savannah protested, but her voice was drowned out by the laughter of the other boys.
"Don't worry, Sav, we don't blame you," Harry said with a cheeky grin. "Liam's got the whole 'boy-next-door' thing going on."
"I do not have a thing for Liam!" Savannah shouted, her voice breaking slightly.
Louis smirked, leaning down so they were face-to-face. "Sure, love. Keep telling yourself that."
And with that, he strutted off, leaving Savannah mortified and the rest of the bus in stitches. Life on tour was nothing if not entertaining, and with Louis around, it was never dull.
