Diana:

My back ached. I was not in the most comfortable position. I mean I wouldn't have ever thought being in a cage to be nice, but this was really uncomfortable. It didn't help the cage was tiny.

The cold bars right up against my back. My knees right against the other side. My chest heaved up and down. The tie around my throat practically cutting my air circulation. I tried to twist my body around to get a better look at my surrounds.

I was being carried to be sold off. A group of Cavums escorting me along with other rare species. My mouth had cloth around it, making sure I couldn't scream. There was also cloth covering my cage so I couldn't see anything.

I could hear the words though. They were speaking in their native tongue. I wanted nothing more than to rip their pretty throats open right now. My anger was rising. I bite down on my tongue to distract myself.

I was angry at both those stupid Cavums for capturing me and myself for getting captured in the first place. I outstretched my hands and felt along the cold bars. My webbed talons feelings along the cloth over my cage.

Without even a warning my cage was slammed down. I could make out another voice. This time speaking in Zairean. They answered saying they were resting and importing rare species.

We would be stopping for a while. My cafe was then picked back up and I was back to being carried. I was greeted with intense scent of flowers. I pinched my nose and steadily breathed through my mouth instead. I could now hear the chatter of merchants trying to sell things but then slowly they all hushed and I heated the footsteps of people slowly scurrying away.

Makes sense. Most species wouldn't dare disturb Cavums. At least not species within the wealthy and extravagant colonies. I bet that at places like New Solar, Cavums are just like any other species. God I hated those who acted all snobby just because of their species.

My cage was set down again. This time I heard other cages being set down. I couldn't care less what other species were even being trafficked. Just needed to get out of here. If I could get out of this cage then I wouldn't have to worry. My temper started to boil over again with impatience. All I needed was just one opening. One little slip up. And I could escape.

I let all sounds drown out but the foreign tongue of the Cavum.

I waited.

And waited..

And waited...

And waited....

And waited.....

Minute after minute......

Hour....after....hour................

My eyes slowly drifting. But my body still alert. Until. I could hear their snores.

I twisted my body around. My stomach up against the cold steal flooring. I craned my claws to just barely lift my cloth off the cage. Just enough for my eyes to see the outside.

It was dark now. There was also a couple Cavums guarding the area, their fire nearly out now. We weren't inside. In fact we were outside. I couldn't make out were. Nor did I know what city or town I was at. It seemed like some sorta park? I could tell we were descending at some point. And they had to answer questions to get inside the town.

Usually when stuff like that happened it would be a small town used as a safe haven for the poor or travelers. There was crunching and animal noises shortly before the descending meaning we were in the forest. Safe havens can't survive purely off their own so there would be a high chance there is a human town a day or two away.
