The air was cold around you as waited for the guys. A local gas station. Hopefully they'd find a way to get this goddamn van moving again. Luckily, it had worked again but stopped as soon as you'd reached this place.
You didn't know what time it was. Midnight? Probably. The air couldn't have gotten any colder and the night couldn't be any darker. The guys had told you to stay in the van to keep warm but staying inside had made you restless. You needed some fresh air, despite how freezing it was here. The pros and cons of breathing, I guess.
You can see him running towards you. Patrick. He had his hands in his pocket as he approached you. Denim jacket. Jeans. His blonde hair peaking out from under his hood. You could see his cold breath from his lips. Lips. The memory came to you so quickly it almost knocked you over.
"Hey Y/N! You alright there? It's so cold, we should get inside," he suggested, awkwardly guiding you back to the van.
You didn't object. The only reason you were outside was because you were waiting for him.
Heavy breathing. The tension between you grew as you both sat, squished in the small bunk. Knees touching, during cross legged across from each other, but it still seemed intimate.
You could your cheeks heat up. However awkward it was, you just wanted to be closer to him. His breathing quickened. A sign that he wanted to.
Lips. Those soft lips. They were on you again, tasting sweeter than before. You pulled away, gasping for breath. His eyes were dark. His face was red. His breathing was sharp.
It almost hurt every time you inhaled. Wincing at exhale but it felt so good to be here with him. To watch as his chest rose and fell in time with you, no matter how painful it was.
The pros and cons of breathing.
