Just a quite note: while most of the chapters so far have been primarily based off of the movies with little reference to the books, this one is much more balanced and is heavily referenced by both sides. Enjoy!

Y/n is woken up early the next morning by Molly, who gently shakes her a few times before going to wake her roommates. Getting up groggily, she rubs the sleep out of her eyes and looks around at the other girls who are sitting up slowly, stretching their limbs and popping their sore muscles.

"Time already?" Ginny asks tiredly, yawning so much that tears prick her eyes and she nearly falls back onto her pillow.

"No time for that, dear," Molly says kindly. "Yes, it's time. Come down for breakfast as soon as you're dressed."

Y/n steps out into the stairwell, hearing already the sounds of what are undoubtedly the boys downstairs. Hermione and Ginny behind her, they step down into the kitchen and take seats at the table. Y/n says a yawned good morning to the twins, slumping down in between them and laying her head on Fred's shoulder.

"Why do we have to be up so early?' Ginny asks, rubbing her eyes again.

"We've got a bit of a walk, " her father replies.

"Walk?" Says Harry. "What, are we walking to the World Cup?"

"No, no, that's miles away," Arthur replies with a smile. "We only need to walk a short way. It's just that it's very difficult for a large number of wizards to congregate without attracting Muggle attention. We have to be very careful about how we travel at the best of times, and on a huge occasion like the Quidditch World Cup—"

"George!" Says Molly suddenly, causing Y/n to jump.

"What?" Says the boy next to her, in a tone that she — and everyone else at the table — knows all too well.

"What's that in your pocket?"

"Nothing!"

"Don't you lie to me!"

Y/n winces as she pulls her wand out of her pocket, whipping it in their direction with a sharp exclamation of  "Accio!"

Several Ton-Tongue Toffees that he had stuffed in his pocket come flying out, and he reaches for them to no avail.

"We told you to destroy them!" His mother scolds, holding them up. "We told you to get rid of the lot! Empty your pockets, go on, the three of you!"

Getting up out of her chair with the boys, Y/n raises her hands in defence and assures Molly that she has nothing tucked away in her pockets, trying to make sure the woman knows she is being as sincere as possible. It's horrible watching her use her Summoning Charm to get everything, because it's the only way, and watching her friends' expressions fall as she pulls more and more of the candies off their persons and into her waiting hands.

"We spent six months developing those!" Fred shouts at his mum as she tosses them into the garbage.

"A fine way to spend six months!" She yells. "No wonder you didn't get more O.W.L.s!"

The air is unpleasant from then on as they begin their departure. Caught up in comforting the twins and managing her own disappointment at the candy being thrown away, Y/n ends up picking at her breakfast and can't help but feel resentful towards the old woman, who is still glowering as she kisses her husband goodbye. But nothing compares to the twins, who hoist their rucksacks on their backs and head out, pulling Y/n along with them as she protests that she still needs help adjusting hers, without a single word said to Mrs. Weasley.
