Suddenly I heard the door to my room open and close. "Isla? Are you here?" Swiss asked. "I didn't care to answer. Soon after, he tried the bathroom door, only to find it locked. "Ugh, come on Isla, not again." He growled. "Open the door Isla." He said, demanding. I stayed quiet, not wanting to talk to him. Just like Sister said, they just pity me. "Isla open this door right now." He yelled. "Or just say something. Let me know that you're okay." He said, banging the door. "Don't make me break the door, again." He said.

For a little while it was quiet, but then there was a loud bang and Swiss bursted through the door. "Isla?" He asked and looked for me from the bathroom. I kept looking down, but from the corner of my eye I saw him crouching down in front of me. "Isla, it's okay, you're okay." He said, placing his hands on my shoulders. I just shook my head no, there were no words to describe what I was feeling. Silently Swiss sat down next to me, under the shower. I could feel him wrap his arms around me, pulling me into his warm embrace. My body still kept shaking, even though I tried to stop it. "You took it." I cried. "What?" He asked. "The blade." I breathed out. I could hear him let out a deep breath. "Yes, I took it and I'm glad I did." He said. I lifted my head from my knees and looked him in the eyes. My eyes were red and puffy from crying, but I didn't care.

"I wanted to do it." I said quietly. "It might feel like it right now, but trust me, you don't." He said, his voice sweet and gentle. "I wanted to die. I still do." I said, bursting into tears again. Swiss squeezed my shaking body harder, making me feel safer. "What did Sister say to you?" He asked. "How did you-?" I asked. "Cirrus saw you in the hallway with Sister. She said that she tried to come to you, but Sister told her to get away and before she could do anything, you ran away." Swiss answered. "After that, Cirrus came to me." He continued. "I don't wanna talk about it." I sobbed. "I know it's hard, but none of us can do anything about it if you don't tell us." Swiss said. "It would just make everything worse." I said quietly. "You don't have to deal with all of this alone, I'm here, we all are." Swiss said, "I don't know." I sighed. "Just talk, I will listen." He said.

I let out a deep breath and let my head lean against his shoulder. "I left the band room and she grabbed me. She pulled me from my wrist further from you." I said, showing him the bruised marks from her grip. "She was so mad. She saw me in the band room. She said that I was trying to show off, but I wasn't, I promise." I continued, trying to keep it together. "I'm not allowed to see any of you, I'm only bad news. She said that the only reason you let me be around is because you pity me." I said, trying to wipe away the tears. "And then she- she said that I should just do it." I sobbed. "Do what?" Swiss asked. "You know.." I said quietly. Swiss stayed quiet for a while, not saying anything, but I could feel that he was angry.

Silently he just pulled me even closer to his chest, his arms squeezing my body closer to his. "I'm so sorry. You don't deserve any of that." He quietly. "I'm sorry to be such a burden." I said. He loosened his grip and turned to look at me. "You are not a burden, Isla. You hear me? Sister is out of her mind, don't believe anything that comes out of her mouth." Swiss said. His eyes stared straight into mine. I could sense anger in his face, but also a little bit of sadness.

He stayed quiet for a while, just looking at me, but the look on his face, I couldn't read it. He kept looking at me with his beautiful brownish-green eyes. I wonder what he is thinking? When they first got here, I was sure I wouldn't let anyone close, but here I am and I don't think I can push him away anymore.

"Let's get out of the shower, okay?" He said, a slight smile appearing on his face. At this point I didn't even remember the shower anymore. I just nodded and started to stand up from the floor and turn off the shower. "Here's a towel" He said, giving me a clean towel from the counter. "Thanks." I said and wrapped the towel around my wet clothes. "Can you wait here while I change my clothes?" I asked. "No." He said and wrapped a towel around him. "What?" I asked, confusedly. "Not letting you out of my sight." He answered and took my hand gently in his.

He led me out of the bathroom to my closet. "I won't look." He said, letting go of my hand and turning around. I grabbed clean clothes from the closet and started to change. When I was ready I turned around, only to find Swiss shirtless next to my bed. "I'm sorry." I said, covering my eyes with my hands and turning around. "It's okay." He laughed, his voice getting closer as he said it. I could feel his hands on my shoulder, turning me around. He was still without a shirt. I tried not to look, but the way you could see his muscles adore his upper body, it was hard not to.

"Which one of the ghouls you found the nicest?" He asked, looking down at me, holding me from the shoulders. I was a little confused about the sudden question, not even understanding why he asked it. "Y-You?"I said, unsure. An amused smile filled his face. "I know I am, but right now you're gonna have to pick someone else." He smiled. "Why?" I asked, confusement visible on my face. "I'm gonna go talk to Copia and I'm not leaving you alone, so pick someone and I'll ask them to come with you till I get back." He explained. "I'm just fine here by myself." I said. "I know. I just want to be sure." He said, giving my shoulders a slight squeeze. "Aurora." I answered. "I'll call her." Swiss said, clearly satisfied.
