Tide

"Lisa, thank you for coming with me." Luke says keeping one hand on the steering wheel, the other is rubbing up and down Lisa's thigh.

"Of course Luke, I am happy that you are getting your daughter. Although it's shitty circumstances, are you excited?" Lisa asks wanting to know everything that Luke is thinking.

His thoughts draw her in. The way his mind functions gives Lisa inspiration to allow her creativity to flow

"I am. I do know that I will never forgive her mother for this." He says keeping his face stoic and hard.

Lisa just nods her head in response.

The rest of the ride there is quiet, and Lisa can sense Luke's tenseness growing.

"We are finally here." Luke says putting his car in park. "I can't wait to have Abigail in my arm." He adds.

As always, Lisa watches as he jogs to her side of the car and opens her door for her. She hugs him tightly to try to ease his mind a bit. Luke accepts the hug and places a gentle kiss on her lips.

He leads them inside, as they walk hand in hand. Am officer meets them in the lobby quickly. The man is very short with a bald head. His stomach is almost popping the buttons off of his shirt, and you can tell he is someone who should've retired years ago.

"Luke Armani?" He

"Yes, I'm here for my daughter." Luke states.

The officer motions his head for Luke and Lisa to follow him. As they are walking, Luke sees a man being interrogated at a table in a room off to the side.

"It that the man that tried to sell my daughter?" Luke asks stretching out his arms and cracking his fingers.

The officer takes no time to answer "Yep!"

Luke shifts paths and walks to the door of the interrogation room. A dread washes over Lisa as she knows that this won't end well.

A panicking Lisa huffs out, "Luke! come back!"

her shouts alert the officer, and he comes running back. Before the officer can reach Luke, he is already in the interrogation room. Lisa watches as an angry Luke walks towards the man with his finger pointed in his face.

"You fucking son of a b-" before Luke can finish, the officer has him pinned to the wall.

Lukes face slams against the glass, and the loud thud hurts Lisa's heart.

"Luke!" Lisa shouts as she places her hand over her chest and stumbles back a step.

In a quick movement, Luke slams his elbow into the officers stomach as he goes after the meth addict once again.

"You are a worthless fucking human being!" Luke shouts.

The cop that was interrogating the man, is able to get Luke's wrists behind his back., and he pulls him away. The cop presses Luke's body against the wall with his knee and holds his wrists tightly.

The cop that Luke knocked the wind out of, shouts, "Detain him!"

Lisa then takes off towards the commotion ready to resolve this whole mess.

"No no no! Think of Abigail. Her mother just went to jail, don't take her father to! If you do, trust me I'll be in that courtroom to let them know that you told Mr. Armani that a man was guilty before he took the stand! That's illegal!" Lisa says beckoning with the officer.

"You two go to your car! I will bring her out!" The officer says.

"I want my daughter NOW!" Luke shouts as he is being ushered out the room.
