Emmas POV
"Im so glad you decided to come! This will be fun. Dont worry about work. Just have some fun!" Siren smiled. "Yeah yeah. What exactly is this event?" I asked. We walked across the hot sand together and I tripped on a loose pile of sand. Joey laughed and helped me up. "Careful Em. Its a Surfing Competition. Lots of people have come to see the athletes. We're more here for the after party." She explained. "Oh. Cool." I smiled. I brushed myself off and we walked down to find a spot to set up our things. "This will be great. Its a good chance to relax." Siren said. "Yeah unlike that girl over there." Joey laughed. We all looked over at the two women by the shore. One of them is jogging in place and the other one is yelling at her. "Come on! Faster! Get those knees up!" She yelled. I giggled at them. "Wow. I feel like Ive heard that yell before." I said, confused. "Give her a rest babe! Her session ended like an hour ago. You're supposed to be off duty." A man called out. My eyes widened. "I definitely know that voice!" I said. "You do?" Siren asked confused. The guy stood up from his bright pink sun chair and dismissed the jogging girl. "She payed extra!" The woman shrugged. "No way..." my jaw hit the floor. "Oh! I see it." Joey smiled. "Who is it?" Siren asked. "Thats Noah and Farrah." I said. "What?!" Siren said. We all walked over to them.

"Noah?" I asked. He turned to me and his eyes widened. "Well Ill be damned." He smiled. "Is that really you?" I asked. "Yeah! Wow! Emma Dune! Never thought Id see you again!" He hugged me and I hugged back. "Its so good to see you! And you Farrah." I smiled. "Good to see you Emma." She hugged me. "Siren! Joey! How have you all been?" Noah smiled at us. "Good! What about you two?" Siren asked. "Well, Farrah is a personal trainer, and I do group fitness instruction. Its fun!" Noah said. "Yeah, and you just lost me twenty bucks!" Farrah huffed. Noah rolled his eyes. "What about you?" He asked. "Siren started an event planning business and we work with her." I explained. "Cool!" Noah said. "Hows Riley?" Farrah asked. "Oh she's great. She's just with the arrows today." I said. "Oh yeah I saw them on the news this week." She said. Her smiled fell immediately as she realized. "Oh my god Im so sorry. Are you ok?" Farrah asked. I sighed. "Yeah. Im... Im fine." I shrugged. Farrah smiled sympathetically. "So! You guys wanna hang? Catch up?" Joey changed the subject. "Yeah! Sure." Noah smiled. "Oh hey! They announcements are starting. Lets go watch." Siren said, and we followed her.

We all got to the front to watch the announcer start the show. "Alright ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the annual Surfing Competition!" A female voice rang over the speakers. "We've got a great lineup of surfers for you today. As well as six amazing judges!" We all clapped. The woman walked around the stage, and everywhere she went, people cheered. Just the sight of her made them happy. She must be good at her job. "The winners of todays contest will move on to next weekends event. There are twelve competitors this year, but only six can make it to the next round!" She walked over to our side of the stage and my eyes widened. "Stormy?" I asked. She couldn't hear me, and surely wasnt looking, but there on stage was Stephanie Campbell. "No way!" Joey recognized her too. In fact, we all did. She didnt see us, but it was still cool to see her on stage. "Are we ready for the first contestant?" She asked the crowd and everyone went wild. "I cant hear you!" She teased. They got louder and she smiled. "Alright then! Lets get it started!" She announced.

As the first surfer finished, he was flocked by journalists. They all bombarded him with questions and he just smiled and answered them casually. "Have you always wanted to surf?" A woman asked. "No actually-" he went on with his story and I glanced over at the woman who had asked him. "Her too?" I asked myself. There with a tape recorder, a pencil, and a notepad, was Courtney York. "Looks like everyone still knows her, huh?" Siren said. I laughed. "I see someone else I know!" Noah cheered. He ran across the beach and Farrah groaned before following him. "Sister!" He jumped on Hazel and she freaked out. "What the-? Noah?! What are you-? Get off me!" She tried to push him away but he held her in a hug. "Nope!" He smiled. "Let me go!" She shouted. We chuckled. She shoved him off her and glared at him. She's just as tall as me now. "I am working!" She growled. "Oh yeah. You scared your puppy is gonna drown?" Noah teased. Hazels eye twitched in anger. "Why are you here?" She asked. "Just taking a beach day. And we ran into some old friends." He gestured to us. Hazel looked over and her eyebrows shot up. "God damn. Never thought Id see you all again. You look good." She smiled. "Thanks Hazel. Its good to see you too." I said. "And that concludes contestant three!" Stephanie announced. Hazels head shot back around and she wasted no time to bolt over to the contestant. "Whats she running for?" Siren asked. "She's an athletic trainer." Farrah explained. "Ohh-" we all said.

We all sat down on the beach and watched the next two contestants. During the fifth one, Hazel came back over with contestant three. "Hey guys. Im off now, so we can join you." She said. "We? Thats just a surf board." Joey pointed out. Hazel looked over at it as it fell. "Ugh! Clay!" She whined. "Clay?" I asked, shocked. "Hey Emma." I heard. I looked over at the dog sitting beside me and shrieked. "Ah! Clay!" I smiled. He changed back and hugged me as he laughed. "I missed you!" He said. "Me too!" I hugged back. He hugged Siren too. "So you really went pro, huh?" Siren asked. "Oh yeah. Im living the dream." He smiled. "You were short a minute on your time." Hazel huffed. "Meh." Clay shrugged. "Wow! I cant believe we're all here! This is crazy." I said. "Yeah! Did you see Courtney is here too?" Clay asked. We nodded. "And Stephanie." I added. "Oh wow! We'll have to find them after the last contestant." Clay said. I nodded in agreement.

"Uh- that may not happen." Hazel said. "Why?" I asked. She pointed out at the water. "Somethings wrong." She said. We looked out on the water. The girl thats surfing is looked around her at the water like something is there. Suddenly, a merman shot out of the wave and tackled her into the ocean. We gasped in shock. Not a minute later though, did the arrows drop in. "Black, Cyan, Red, secure the beach. The rest of you come with me!" Retro flew over the water and the other flyers followed. The other humans appeared on jet skis nearby. "Everybody back! Stand back while we handle this!" Riley yelled. They pushed everyone back and Riley did a double take, seeing my company. She smiled and waved before running back to her team. Retro, Dylan, and Sky were searching under the water while the others searched above. Retro shot out of the water with the girl over her shoulder. The crowd cheered, but then the same merman shot out onto the shore, grabbed Riley and started pulling her to the water. "Riley!" I jolted forward but Siren grabbed me. "Stop. You know you can't." She whispered. My heart started racing. "Black!" Ella shot at the guy and he ducked back to avoid it, letting go of Riley. That gave Riley the chance to quickly jump up and kick him across the face. He fell to the ground and the three humans held their bows steady at him. "Dont you dare move." Addison growled. He groaned and gave up. The crowd cheered again as they others joined Riley. "Bring him to the station. Are you ok ma'am?" Retro asked the girl. She nodded, still confused. "Ok. Lets go arrows." Retro took off and the arrows followed her. I breathed out relieved and leaned back in Sirens chest. "Yeah you really need a break." She said. I groaned and sat back up.
