(40) A New Recruit

A/U: The blip didn't happen, and all the avengers are still active!! 

"I need Quake, May and Natasha as well as Yelena in my office ASAP" Fury said in a text 

"Geez it's not even 9 AM he's already barking orders." Yelena said 

"Well that's Fury for ya." Nat said as she put poured coffee. 

"Wonder what the emergency is." Skye (Quake) said as she stumbled in. 

"Something only us women can take care of since the boys are off on another mission." Yelena said 

"Just finish up ladies we don't have all morning and Fury doesn't like tardiness." Melinda said as she came off the elevator. 

The girls finished up, and headed to the new location of shield headquarters that was now close to the newly revamped Avengers HQ off the coast of California. 

When they walked into the office they saw Fury wasn't alone. 

"Meet LouAnn Fields and her husband Dr Carter Fields." Fury said 

"Nice to meet you all." Natasha said 

"LouAnn's father was friend to my father..they have a 18 year old daughter named Kellie Ann. And ever since the tergensis crisis after the fall of shield their daughter has developed some..abilities." Fury said 

"Abilities?" Yelena said 

"Since she was 12 she has been telling us she can read minds, we didn't believe her we thought she was just being silly she's always been in very dramatic. But now..she has become a different person." LouAnn said 

"A different person?" Skye said 

"She recently has been having mood swings to the point that her eyes turn purple and she causes the lights to flicker. She is being accused of cheating in math class cause she got her first A on a test in years..and her ex boyfriend is accusing her causing his most recent accident cause she was standing on the corner..and she's been kicked out of her school for destroying a set of lockers and blowing out the windows after she and her ex broke up cause she was angry." Carter said 

"Telepathic, telekinesis.." Nat said 

"Have you ever seen her fly?" Melinda said 

"No..but she isnt home a lot since all this happened..and some people came looking for her last month saying they were part a training program and we haven't been able to find her." LouAnn said 

"Get Wanda, and Steven on the phone Fury.." Melinda said 

"And Barnes we will need a sniper." Nat said 

An hour later, Wanda, Steven Strange and Bucky arrived at the compound. 

"What's going on?" Steven said 

"We need you to help us locate someone." Fury said 

Wanda read everyone's minds, and she blurted out "Kellie Ann." 

"Yes.." Fury said 

Steven did his very best to locate Kellie Ann, and he opened a portal for Wanda and the girls to step in. They did their best to listen in on her whereabouts and where they would be able to find her later. 

Two hours later they returned to HQ, "She's going to be at some gala tonight." Wanda said 

"A gala? You mean our Brain Cancer Awareness gala..the won we host every year in honor of her little brother." LouAnn said 

"That's all she said..and there is another problem Fury." Wanda said 

"What is that?' Fury said 

Wanda looked at Bucky, she relayed to him mentally "It's hydra James..they are back.." 

Bucky nodded, then said "Cut off one head one always grows back.." 

Fury shook his head, "Just when I thought we finally had them all dead..well everyone lets doll up.." Fury said 

They came up with a game plan, and headed to the gala. They finally spotted her in a purple dress. 

Bucky was up on the second level when he spotted her, "Wow.." he thought then he spotted hydra agents. 

"You SOBs just don't die do you..you probably put her through a blender too." He thought to himself. 

As the night wore on, Bucky saw the agents nod to her as her parents took the stage. 

"We got a problem Fury, what ever is going to happen is about to go down." He said into his radio. 

"Copy that Barnes everyone get ready." Fury said 

Carter began his speech, then the lights started to flicker as Kellie Ann's eyes turned purple, and her energy ball appeared. 

"Wanda.." Bucky said 

"I see.." she said 

Melinda Skye and Fury began to usher everyone out while Yelena and Nat got Carter and LouAnn as the agents tried to take them out Bucky took the agents out. 

Wanda jumped in front of Kellie Ann, "Lets play honey.." she said as she brought up her red ball. 

They began to battle flying all over the room, till Wanda threw one at her to make fall to the ground. When she flew down to meet her Kellie Ann was confused and crying as she shook. 

"You are an avenger...I oh no what have I done..." She whispered when she saw the glass and the pictures up on the screen of her little brother.

Bucky came over, "Come on doll let's get you some help.." Bucky said softly 

She was shaking, "I don't even know my name, but I know that is someone I love on that screen.." she whispered 

"Shhh it's ok.." Bucky said as he picked her up bridal style. 

They got her to HQ, and Bucky helped get her cleaned up. He helped get her set up in her own room. 

"Will you stay with me?" She whispered 

"Yeah..and in the morning I'm going to take you to a place to get you your memories back. Once we do Wanda is going to train you." He said as she curled into his side. 

The next morning Bucky took her to Wakanda.

Six Months Later,

Bucky returned to Wakanda to pick her up, "Bucky!" She squealed 

He hugged her, "It's good to see you. Shuri has kept me updated." He said 

When they returned to HQ the team through her a welcome home dinner. Bucky walked her to her room, she saw the name on the door. 

"Kellie Ann "Violet Lightening" Carter" 

"Did you do this Buck?" She said 

"I did.." he said .

She smiled at him, then she felt him kiss her lips. He cupped both cheeks as they began to make out. He opened her door and walked her backwards. 

"Mmm missed you.." he whispered 

"Mmm missed you too.." she whispered as he stripped her down 

He laid her on the bed as he kissed her neck, then they began to make love. 

Steve checked on them hours later, Nat said "I knew he would end up with her." 

"He finally found someone that he could love cause she knows what it is like to be a hydra agent. Luckily we saved her from a life time of it..I wish I had done the same for him." Steve said 

"You didn't know Steve.." Nat said as she kissed him as they went bed.
