So everyone , this story was inspired by a South Indian movie called Anjaan. I made some changes too, so look forward to it! And for those who’ve already seen the movie, no spoilers, stars please😍---
Pond stood frozen on the sidewalk, still looking at the spot where Phuwin had just confessed his feelings. His mind was in a haze, replaying Phuwin’s words, the way he had looked so sure and steady. Pond barely registered his men chuckling from the car, casting amused glances at him through the windows.
“Boss, did the flowers knock you out or something?” one of his men teased, chuckling. “Never thought I’d see the day.”
The playful remark snapped Pond out of his trance. He scowled, climbing back into the car. “Shut it. Drive,” he ordered sharply, though his gaze drifted once more to the bouquet in his hands. Phuwin’s words echoed in his mind, leaving him torn between amusement and confusion as they drove away.
Back at his office, Pond tried to focus on a stack of project files, but his mind kept drifting. He stared blankly at a document, the image of Phuwin holding the bouquet flashing before his eyes. A strange feeling gnawed at him. Was it…curiosity? Something more? He shook his head, trying to push the thoughts away.
Just then, Joe, Dunk, Joong, and Gemini burst into his office unannounced, their footsteps echoing off the walls. Pond didn’t even notice them at first, still lost in his thoughts.
Joe, grinning widely, cleared his throat and called out, “Whoa! Look who’s daydreaming—the mafia leader of Black Shadows, dreaming about his lover, huh?”
The others chorused, “Oooooooh,” erupting in laughter. Pond snapped out of his daze, narrowing his eyes at them.
He shot them a hard glare. “What are you doing crowding my office? Don’t you all have jobs?”
Dunk chuckled, leaning against the desk. “Oh, we’ve got plenty of work, Pond, but this? This is the most important work of all. I mean, the ‘great mafia boss’ went silent after a confession from his lover boy! We had to see it for ourselves.” He smirked, and the group burst into laughter again.
Pond rolled his eyes. “Enough. It’s nothing. Get back to work.”
Joong chimed in, smirking. “Nothing, huh? So why are you sitting here staring at a file like it’s a love letter?”
Pond clenched his jaw, leveling them with an icy stare. “Say another word, and I’ll put a bullet in each of your heads.”
The group only laughed harder, Joe patting Pond’s shoulder. “Pond, you know we’re just saying—Phuwin has guts. That kid’s something else. Most people would be scared of confessing to you, but not him. It’s almost…admirable.”
Joong chuckled,“I noticed from the start that he was a little different. There’s more to him than meets the eye—a mischievous side. Gotta give him credit for that.”
Pond’s cold gaze softened slightly, despite himself. He muttered, “Shut up already. Get out of my office before I change my mind about shooting you.”
Laughing and exchanging grins, the group finally backed out of the office, leaving Pond with a small, reluctant smirk on his face. As he returned to his work, he couldn’t quite shake off the image of Phuwin’s confident smile, wondering if he’d underestimated him all along.
On the other side...
Phuwin’s face was practically glowing as he walked through campus with Fourth, a dreamy smile never leaving his lips. Fourth finally couldn’t take it anymore, casting his friend a suspicious look.
“Alright, spill it. What are you even smiling about?” Fourth grumbled, side-eyeing him. “And I know you’re up to something behind my back.”
Phuwin glanced at him, trying to hide his grin but failing miserably. “Nothing I’m hiding, Fotfot. Just something I’m sure about now,” he admitted, blushing slightly. “I…I’m in love with Nara.”
Fourth stopped in his tracks, eyes wide. “What? Who the heck is Nara?”
Phuwin giggled, his face going pink. “Nara is Pond.”
Fourth’s jaw dropped as he slapped a hand over his heart dramatically. “What the hell, Phu? Are you out of your mind? Did you just say you love that mafia sh*t?” He shook his head, launching into a frantic rant. “Do you even know what you’re saying? You’re talking about falling in love with a mafia boss! Are you serious?”
Phuwin just grinned wider, giving Fourth a playful smack on the arm. “Aii, Fotfot, don’t badmouth my Nara.”
Fourth looked at him, completely taken aback. “Phu, I get that you have this whole rebellious spirit thing, but this is…next-level crazy! Do you even realize how much trouble you could get into? You think loving a mafia boss is easy?” He sighed, rubbing his forehead in frustration. “No wonder your dad wants to marry you off to someone safe. This is...this is just wild.”
Phuwin narrowed his eyes at him, crossing his arms. “Aii, Fot, don’t drag that old man into this! I can handle him. And what’s so crazy about loving Nara? I know he’s mafia, but he’s human too, okay? Not some monster. He’s different, at least to me.” Phuwin’s expression softened, smiling dreamily. “He’s a good mafia. I like him…a lot.”
Fourth shook his head, clearly in disbelief. “Phu, you’re too far gone, down that mafia hole. But fine, if you’re set on this, just be careful, okay?” He raised an eyebrow, asking cautiously, “Does Gemini know about any of this?”
Phuwin shook his head, still grinning. “Nope. You’re the first one I told.”
Fourth sighed dramatically. “Should I feel honored by this, or worried about your choices?” He shook his head, resigned. “Whatever you want, Phu. You know I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”
Phuwin chuckled, throwing his arms around Fourth and squeezing him tightly. “I know. That’s why I love you, my Fotfot.”
