Chapter 2: Show-off

The coach had separated the class into different segments; speed, strength and ranged attacks. The individuals showed their strength group by group, and Ashley, not only was she in the three, but she managed to come out on top in each group.

Eric was the only one who didn't participate.

After the session, the coach gave them a 30-minute break and Ashley started walking towards Eric. Eric could feel his heart rate increasing.

Eric answered her skeptically... "Yeah... But they're a little weird." "Okay let me hear it", she said, genuinely NOT curious, but trying to fulfil her duties. "Well so far I have noticed that nothing has been able to harm me or catch me off guard. It's like my body has a built in reflex that always keeps me out of harm. I can't control it though."

Ashley looked at Eric. "You said 'they' so I assume they're more than one?" "Yes they are... Just don't laugh." She looked at Eric with a curious look now. "I have the ability to give sexual pleasure to any female I want to, as long as I'm looking at her." Eric said, sighing, preparing mentally for what may come next.

Ashley's head tilted to the side, her hair blowing in the wind as she let out an awkward laugh. "Really?" She asked mockingly. "And it works only on females?" She asked in disbelief. Eric didn't answer.

"Okay buddy, prove it." She stared at Eric in the eyes, slightly longingly. "You really don't want me to..." Eric tried to object, but her glare made it obvious she wasn't backing down. "Fine."

Ashley looked as Eric's gaze finally met hers, and she felt a tiny surge of electricity rush through her body. Her heart rate sped up, and suddenly her nipples hardened beneath her suit. Eric's head had tilted sideways, just enough that the punch missed him by a hairs breath. Ashley's eyes widened as she retracted her fist. "You didn't say you have superspeed!" She said, almost shouted. "I don't. My body basically just chose the best way to avoid your attack." Ashley was intrigued, genuinely now. "Wow..." She said breathlessly as she aimed another punch at Eric's back, moving as fast as she could.

Eric didn't even see the attack. He just jumped, and performed a backflip in the air, effectively dodging her strike. Ashley, with her speed, saw Eric coming down in slow motion, and aimed a blast of energy at his torso. The blast seemed to move through him, hitting the pillar that was more than 10 feet behind him. Ashley's was impressed.

Eric landed brilliantly on his feet, and looked at Ashely with a face that said you finished?

"Woah... You have some kind of metamorphic ability... Your body basically adapts to whatever it needs to make sure you stay alive. That's amazing." Ashley said, visibly excited. Even more than Eric was.

Much more than Eric was...

"Come on nerd! Don't you understand?" Ashely said, trying to get Eric as excited as she was. "Umm no?" Eric said, looking a little bit defeated. He continued "I would kill to have one normal ability."

Ashley genuinely felt bad. "Look," she said, "just because you're the first type of person to have these powers doesn't mean your useless. It just means you're unique. You're special." She paused, looking at Eric, who was listening half heartedly. "I mean come on, which girl wouldn't want to be with a guy that could make her orgasm with a look," she said, with a smile. Apparently she was joking, but Eric didn't get it.

"I don't have a girlfriend." He said, appearing more dejected. Ashely felt even sadder now, and she was really uncomfortable because she wasn't used to being nice.
