nine months later

Maia walked down the sidewalk, her sunglasses blocking the giant ball of gas in the sky. Her fingers itched for power, her digits sparking small little flashes of red mist. Her lips were pulled into a frown. Nine months of this, being abnormal to human nature, with unwanted abilities that had started to take her mind. She wanted more. More power, to be feared, to be hated.

The young red head stopped, her fist clenched at her sides. She looked towards the road, before her legs started to take her to the oncoming cars. They honked and swerved as she stood in the middle, her hands erupting in red chaotic power. She pushed her hands out and screamed, the cars coming towards her blew back, crashing into the pavement. She fell to her knees, letting another scream rip through her throat. Maia serged with power as she continued to project her hurting soul onto the civilians around her. She heard the screams. But she didn't care. No one was coming to save her or help fix her destruction.

Her chest heaved as her hands died down, her tears streaming down her face as she sobbed, in anger, in pain, in the agony of becoming a monster. An abomination.

"I'm sure a scoop of ice cream could really cheer you up." A voice spoke near her, which made her look over to see a man in a red spandex suit. She slowly stood up, her head tilting threateningly. "Not much of a talker?" He inquired.

She pushed a hand out, a red ball of energy shot at him as he dodged it, running behind her. She turned around, doing the same thing with a yell. "Stay still! You will not make a fool of me!"

The man ran around her again, just watching her for a moment. "You look tired." He was genuine, watching her broken self grip her hands tightly, her green eyes turning a deep ruby red, her hands glowing the same color as they held themselves out at her sides.

"I'm an abomination, something that shouldn't exist." She started to levitate in the air, vehicles falling suit after her. The man backed up, looking at her with wide eyes. "And I'm in so much agony. These abilities aren't a gift, it's chaos. Do you want to feel it? The agony?" She asked, throwing the vehicles at him, along with parts of the buildings that surrounded the two. The man ran as fast as he could to dodge everything, but he couldn't dodge the invisible force that knocked him to the ground.

Maia landed on the ground, walking towards him in stride, her glasses now resting on her head as she looked down at the masked man. He groaned, looking up into her green eyes. "You're like me." It wasn't a question. She kneeled in front of the man, "have you felt agony before, speedster? Have you felt fear, anger. Have you felt the urge to make people feel what you want them to?"

Her eyes bored into his as they glowed red. The man coughed, trying to breathe, but it was like his throat had been closed up. He choked, grabbing at his neck as she continued to close his wind pipe, finding joy in watching him suffer. She merely smiled, tilting her head as he reached for her, begging for her to stop whatever she was doing.

stop it. You're hurting him. Her focus was forgotten as her head jolted up, looking around them, finding the streets empty and the sound of sirens in the distance. The man coughed after being let go, holding his throat, rubbing it. He looked at her as she stood.

"Don't come after me, Speedster. It'll only cause me more trouble." Her hands glowed, levitating her off the ground before she flew off, onto one of the roofs of the buildings she hadn't completely destroyed. He looked behind him to see the police had finally showed up on the streets, which had him run back to S.T.A.R Labs. He needed to tell Harrison about the Metahuman he met.

...

"No way you met another Metahuman, and you let her get away." Cisco said, watching Caite hook Barry up onto a monitor, a needle near her to take a sample.

"I didn't have much of a choice. She was strangling me with her mind." Barry said, watching Caite who grabbed the needle.

"Maybe we can figure out what she did to you," Caite said, shoving the needle into his arm. He jumped, glaring at the woman.

"She mind controlled me to not breathe. Said she wanted me to feel her agony. She called herself an abomination." Barry explained. Harrison rolled towards the trio, finding this Metahuman fascinating.

"Incredible. What else could she do?" He asked.

"Telekinesis from what it looked like. Her eyes were glowing red and so were her hands. Anything being encased by her powers has like, a red outline to it." Barry said, as Katie took the sample of his blood somewhere else inside of the lab.

"Whoa! That is so cool!" Cisco exclaimed. Barry shook his head and rolled his sleeve down.

"No, not cool. She was trying to kill me, but something stopped her." He said.

"Well, not cool for you. But you fought a sorceress!" Cisco then put a hand to his chin, "the red sorceress. That's definitely her name now!" He nodded with a grin. Barry shook his head at his friend, finding his oddly amusing.

"Barry, I need you to try and get through to her. I know she's hurting, and from what you've told us, she wants you to suffer with her." Barry nodded at Harrison's words. Another Metahuman with the abilities to manipulate people's mind and telekinesis. He knew this one was special, just as special as Barry Allen is.

no spoilers for the flash please, I just get bad guy vibes from Harrison Wells, or maybe he's from the future, but I'm only on episode 8.
