After our long flight home we settled Yelena into her old room. As we entered her eyes filled with tears. "it hasn't been changed one bit" She sobbed placing her bags on her bed.
Still messy from the last time she was here. We unpacked her bags slowly letting her melt into the feeling of warmth.
It's officially the day our family returns. "They will be here in about 20 minutes" I tell her from my seat on the couch. Some show playing on the tv in front of us.
"Does anyone know i'm back?" She asks. I shake my head no. "No everyone still thinks you're" I pause. "dead". Silence erupts around us. Limited noise from the show playing.
We wait silently. My nerves acting up. I'm scared yet excited for everyone to see her. After about 25 minutes I hear the door downstairs open. Voices echoing down the halls.
"It's time, you ready?" I ask Yelena. She stands up quickly staring towards the door to the living room. "No, but I never will be" She admits.
I stand behind her waiting for the door to open. A few seconds later I hear my father yell my name. "In here!" I yell back hearing the footsteps of everyone getting closer to the room.
My heart is racing. I can hear it in my ears. After what feels like forever the door flies open. Everyone's voices filling the large room. "Hi" Yelena announces.
Everyone stops in their tracks stopping their words immediately. "Yelena?" Nat whispers. Her hands fly over her mouth in shock. Tears streaming down her face rapidly.
"It's me. I'm alive" Yelena whispers moving towards her sister. Natasha moves her hand down from her mouth and runs towards her sister.
They wrap themselves together, both sobbing as tears stream down both their faces. "What the fuck" My father says loudly. Natasha and Yelena separate staring at one another.
"I can explain dad, I can explain everything" I admit. Everyone's eyes turn towards me. "How is she alive, how is she back" Nat rambles keeping her eyes on me.
"Everyone should take a seat" Yelena whispers moving to sit on the massive couch. Everyone follows and takes their seat. I stand in front of them to explain.
"So when I was in Hydra" I pause getting ready to tell them everything. "I was sent to kill her, If i didn't they would have killed me too" I look over to Nat and Tony both worried about me and Yelena.
"We made a deal that day, she died and I went back to Hydra. That way in the end we both got to survive. Either she died or I did so instead she we faked her death" I take in a deep breath.
"I made a promise that i'd find her when I escaped and we would both return home. I've been searching for her everyday since I came back here" Finally I take a seat across from everyone.
While everyone processes me and Yelena share a worried glance. This is a lot and really fast to spill to them at once. After a few minutes of silence Nat speaks up.
"You had to and I love you both so much for that, Kenzie" She says turning towards me. "you did what you had to and thank you for that, thank you for saving my sister and bringing her home" She says standing to come over to me.
"Can I hug you?" She whispers opening her arms. After a moment of hesitation I nod standing across from her. She moves quickly wrapping her arms around me into a hug.
I flinched as her arms touched me. The only person i've allowed to touch me in these years has been my daughter and Yelena. "Thank you" She whispers tightening her arms around me.
I allow my arms to wrap around her and melt into her touch. One more person i've aloud to hug me since getting home.
"i'm so proud of you" Tony says standing up. A smile covering his face. I allow a smile to creep upon my own face lightly. "so how was the mission?" I ask.
"Good, another Hydra base down. There wasn't much there anyways" Steve says. I nod moving to head out of the room."I'm gonna go to bed it's been a long day, goodnight" I tell them continuing out the door.
I head up to my room deciding to let myself rest underneath my covers. As I quickly change from the black training suit into an oversized t-shirt and some shorts I move to my bed.
Wrapping my deep black covers over my body. Warmth wrapping me tightly. I allow my eyes to drift close after the long weekend I have just endured.
~~~~~~
"Agent 27." A voice echoes through the darkness. I look around, surrounded by utter blackness. The empty void holding me there. "Who's there" I shout. I can hear my voice bounce from the emptiness, echoing through the void.
"You can not escape me Agent. Come home quietly before I make you." The voice says sternly. I reconize the tone. "Alexander Pierce" I snap.
"Hydra was and will never be my home" I scream into the blackness. "I WILL NEVER GO WITH YOU"
I continue. The voice echos again, A low laugh."Hydra will always be your home and now you will come back. I don't care if you want to or not" He snaps. As his words finish the blackness turns brighter.
A harsh white light covering my sight. "NO"
I scream as the floor beneath me opens up and drops my body within it. "Time to come home darling" Pierce says, this time his voice right in my ears.I look around seeing nothing but a bright light as I hit the ground. "Fuck you" I snap. The whiteness fades into a large grey room. Four walls surround me.
Red lights on the corners tracing the flooring and ceiling. Black mats lining the floors. The red room. "Time to come home darling" Dreykov says.
I look around as the door flies open. A room full of widows walk in. They surround me, fists up. Ready to attack. I lift my own fists up but not in time as they all charge at me at once.
Fists fly as I try to block their endless attacks. A fist hits my face, rib cage, back, a foot kicks into my knee. A snap echoes through the room as it cracks within.
"AH" I scream as a voice shouts above them all. A command I can barely hear. My blood rushing through my veins loudly in my ears.
"Welcome home" Dreykov says, I look towards him seeing Pierce right beside him. "hello darling" Pierce says slowly winking at me.
~~~~~~
My eyes fly open. Sweat dripping down my forehead as tears drip from my eyes. My throat feels raw probably from screaming. The covers are sticking to my sweaty body.
I look over seeing the light shining through the blinds. Time to get up I suppose.
