▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄𝐈𝐓 had been a week since Chance's dad been pronounced deceased and it's been eating her alive. She felt like she was the cause of his death.
The guilt weighed heavily on her heart, consuming her thoughts day and night. She replayed the events leading up to his passing over and over in her mind, wondering if she could have done something differently to prevent it.
Despite the reassurances from her loved ones that it was not her fault, she couldn't shake the feeling of responsibility. The pain of losing him was unbearable, and the burden of guilt only added to her sorrow. She longed for peace and forgiveness, both from others and from herself.
Right now, Chance was walking through the school halls with her head down deep in thought. She was skipping her 4th period class for the third time in a row.
She started school Monday and started skipping Tuesday, she didn't like the class since it was filled with lower class men.
She snapped out of her mind once she felt a hard body collide into hers. She looked up and saw the tall, brown-skin boy staring at her.
"Oh, Chance. Wassup," He spoke up, looking down at her. She gave him a nod, not saying a word since she wasn't in the mood.
The only people she said words to was her siblings, mom, and Dior. Once Chance moved away at-least two years later, Dior was lurking on Instagram and came in contact with Chance's.
She followed her and Chance followed her back then they started chopping it up.
"What you doing out here?" The boy asked and Chance shrugged her shoulders m.
"Skipping," She simply said, speaking to him in a soft voice as he stared at her.
"Can I skip with you?" He asked and she thought about it before nodding her head, she was honestly surprised that he even said a word to her.
"Ight, let's go to the gym. I don't think nobody in there," He said, starting to walk towards the gym way as Chance followed behind him.
They walked in the gym and sat on the green bleachers, looking around the gym not saying a single word to each other.
Chance looked at him and tucked her bottom lip under her top row of teeth, contemplating on if she wanted to spark up a conversation.
