Chapter 3: Ice Cream?

"Ji Eun-ssi! Are you ready to go?" Chanyeol beamed.

"Eh?" Ji Eun tilted her head in confusion that took Chanyeol by shock. He looked stoned, seriously.

"Chanyeol-ssi. What are you doing?" Ji Eun said with startled eyes after she was forced to lean on the glass window because apparently, Chanyeol was unconsciously leaning towards her until she snapped the guy who seemed in a daze.

"Huh?" Chanyeol blurted out in front of Ji Eun whose face is only a few inches apart from his.

"Too close." Ji Eun said without showing that she was startled as fuck because of Chanyeol.

Chanyeol realizing what was happening, quickly backed up. Like, really quickly because he almost fell down on his back.

"What's wrong?" Ji Eun asked the surprised, wide-eyed male before her.

"Youraegyocaughtmeoffguard." Chanyeol said, which turned out as if he was rapping because that's how quick his words spilled.

"I'm sorry but I didn't quite catch that." Ji Eun apologized.

"Huh? AH! IT'S NOTHING," Chanyeol immediately said after he had processed what he just stated, "As I was saying, are you ready?"

"Uhm, sorry... I have work to do in the student council. I can't go now." Ji Eun repliad and bit her lip. She felt sorry.

"Eh~ How long?" Chanyeol asked.

"About an hour." She said as she pressed her lips together and looked at the clock inside the classroom.

"Ah, that's fine. I'll just wait for you then." He stated with a kind grin.

"You don't have to..." The dark-browned hair girl replied as she looked down.

"You don't want me to be around, do you? Well, if that's what you want..." He said with sadness in his voice. He waved his hand goodbye to her with a pout and sighed heavily.

Ji Eun panicked, she felt terrible.

"Chanyeol-ssi!" She called out and went near him. Chanyeol turned around with gloomy eyes, still part of his acting.

"Stay with me." She said with an unintentionally demanding voice which surprised Chanyeol.

'Wow... She didn't even hesitate saying those words bluntly.' He thought.

"Alright!" He beamed and showed his teeth as he smiled. Ji Eun only smiled back a little. Her smile wasn't noticeable that much but Chanyeol caught a glimpse of it. He actually felt glad.

Chanyeol walked his way out of the room enthusiastically. But he was disturbed from his short, happy walk when Ji Eun asked, "Chanyeol-ssi? Where are you going?"

"To the Student Council room, why?"

"The Student Council room is this way," Ji Eun said and pointed to her left. "You're going the other way."

Chanyeol froze on his spot with his mouth slightly open.

"Ah ne! I knew that. I was just messin' around, you know..." Chanyeol said at first with a loud voice but went barely audible.

Ji Eun made her way to their destination with an embarrassed Chanyeol tailing behind her.

When they got there, the officers were surprised. By Ji Eun's presence (even though they knew that she would help out) and by Chanyeol's presence too.

They greeted politely, Ji Eun went to her place first to get to work immediately, but Chanyeol said an extra line as to why he was there.

"Don't mind me, I'm just here because of Ji Eun. He-he." He said to which the officers only responded with a nod, not completely processing what was happening.

It wasn't a really special occurence but it wasn't a mundane one either.

"Chanyeol-ssi, sorry for almost turning down your offer and making you feel bad." Ji Eun said as she checked the files in the room on the president's desk. Chanyeol was by her side, with his arms and head down on the desk. He was surprised with what she said, he didn't think that she would take his acting seriously.

"W-what? You're still thinking about that? It was acting you know..."

"Woah really? I couldn't see through that." She responded bluntly which made Chanyeol feel awkward but he didn't let it get to him much.

He took a glance at the clock, only fifteen minutes left until they leave. He then looked at Ji Eun, who seemed in a daze but continued doing her work in the same routine.

Chanyeol poked her cheek which made her freeze.

"What do you think you're doing?" She said in an intimidating manner, but not on purpose though. She's a natural when it comes to those.

But her unintentionally frightening voice failed to make Chanyeol timid when her stomach growled.

Chanyeol stared at her and went, "Aigoo~" and chuckled.

Ji Eun blinked twice cluelessly, and widened her eyes when she came to realize that he heard it, somehow.

Chanyeol grabbed her bag and walked towards the door. Ji Eun fixed the files on the desk a little bit and tried catching up to Chanyeol who was already halfway down the hallway.

"Follow me if you want your bag back!" He shouted playfully as he slung his classmate's bag around his broad shoulder and chuckled.

Ji Eun appeared stoic but actually felt troubled. She looked back-and-forth to the room and Chanyeol, thinking whether she should go back inside and finish her task or run after him.

She chose the latter.

"Fuck it." She let out quietly and sprinted down the corridor.

"Do they... even know that we're here?" A member of the council spoke as he peeped outside.

"I don't think so. Well, whatever! Ji Eun-ssi is so cute. He-he." Another one popped out and said merrily.

"What is happening."
