To the Beach?

~~Riker's point of view~~short chapter

The wind picks up, and it starts down pouring.

'What happened to the sun?' Savannah asks

'I don't know..'

Then it gets really loud, I can't even hear the car engine running.

'I cant see anything! It's raining too much!' I yell

Savannah looks around 'RIKER!!'

Knowing it's a bad idea deep down, I turn left into the parking garage of an office building downtown.

'So much for the beach..' I think

Once inside the garage, I park on ground level near the middle of the garage. I look to my left, towards the entrance, and see small trees being blown around

'Riker.. What's happening?' Savannah asks, starting to cry a little.

I lean over the counsel between us as hug her 'Shh, I don't know Vanni..'

When she calms down a bit, I let her go 'I'm gonna call Rydel, okay?' She nods

I grab my phone from the cup holder- no signal. 'I gotta go to the door to get some signal. I'll be right back'. I open the door and step out

Behind me, Savannah says 'No Riker! Don't leave me alone! I'm scared!' She's full on crying now

'Okay, okay, alright. You're alright..' I say getting back in my car. I go to say something else, when the garage starts to shake, and concrete falls from the ceiling around us. The wind gets even louder and the ground rumbles

'RIKER!!' Savannah yells again

The rumbling grows, then a huge slab of concrete falls on the hood of my car. Vanni screams

The concrete pillar on my side of the car cracks, shudders, then falls onto the car.

'AAHH!!' It falls directly on my legs

'Babe!' Savannah yells

The pain is making it really hard to stay awake. I look at her.. She has a pleading look on her face

'i love you..' I whisper
