A trip in the mountains gone wrong. Little Gregory, 6-year-old, had worked on his grandfather's premises when the weather was to serve. The last thing Gregory remembered before being swept away by a huge wave was seeing the huge wave itself.

When Gregory woke up, he laid beside the edge of a stream. He noticed that everything around him was...bamboo.

One minute, he's in water, the next minute, he was in an area full of bamboo. He got up. While he did observe his surroundings, Gregory was terrified. Not just from the events that unfolded but being in a world unfamiliar to him.

Tears began streaming down his face. He always has had a fear of being by himself like most children his age would. He wanted his mother. He wanted his father. He wanted any family members to find him.

While navigating through the bamboo forest, he noticed two travelers. He quickly noticed neither of them were human. But, rabbits? He thought, who are they? But most importantly, where am I?

But Gregory made one little mistake by stepping on a twig, alerting the two rabbits. They both screamed, thinking Gregory was some kind of monster and ran away.

Of course, Gregory was hurt by this reaction. This only added to his already unfortunate situation. He didn't know what to think. He cried. He cried and ran. It was the worst day of his life. He believed there was no hope for him. None at all; he wished events could have played differently.

"Say Crane, do you see anything?"

"Nothing as of now." Replies Crane to Viper.

It was a dark night. Hours earlier, reports from villagers across the Valley of Peace claimed they saw a hairless ape-like creature roaming free. This news was major enough for the Jade Palace to investigate the claims.

Master Shifu had sent masters Crane and Viper to search high and low for this "hairless ape beast". So far, after an hour of searching, they have seen no such creature. That was until Crane noticed something on the ground.

"Hey Viper, I think I see something down there." He says.

"I see it too." Viper notices. "Let's land."

Crane lands on the ground, and Viper slithers off his neck. Now, with a closer look at the creature, they have never seen something like this one. They gazed in puzzlement.

"What is that?" Crane whispered.

"I don't know, but I think it's sleeping." Viper whispers back. "I'm gonna take a closer look."

"Viper, we don't know what this thing is. It could be dangerous."

"I'm sure it's nothing." Viper assures the anxious avian.

As she stated, Viper did get closer to the creature and began to inspect it. She noticed how dirty and dry the creature was. It wore clothes. Dry tear marks on its cheeks, it must have been crying. Viper inferred from the tear marks and the soft snores the creature made while it slept, this was a child.

Yes, the creature had no fur and qualities a little similar to that of an ape; but he didn't seem vicious as the village made him out to be. And yes, Viper could tell it was male.

During Viper's inspection, the creature's eyes fluttered, and eventually opened

Gregory awoke to two animals in front of him. A crane with a rice hat wearing blue pants, and a green snake with pink lotus poms. Gregory panicked, startling himself and the two animals a little. The boy hid behind the large rock, shaking in fear. In fear of what the crane and snake would do to him. The snake would come around the rock followed by the crane. Gregory whimpered.
