Unknown Dimension - A Week Later

"It's been a week since the Supreme King returned to the Dark World Army. And things have... not been great," Yuto narrated as he along with Gongenzaka and Johan assisted some human and small monsters across the hellish landscape.

"It was obvious to us that when the next day arrived that our comrades were not coming back," Yuto watched the Gongenzaka silently cry at the loss of his friends.

Johan was able to keep himself together, not knowing them for that long.

But the loss of Manjoume, Tyranno and Dennis pained him quite a bit.

Yuto held in his emotions.

He was used to holding in his emotions.

"The Supreme King didn't take action immediately. It was like he didn't have a plan on what to do with his Army," Yuto walked at the head of the group while Johna and Gongenzaka took the back.

"But 5 days ago he started his assault. Freed had gotten word from some of the surviving Light Monster camps about their decimation," Yuto further recalled Freed, holding a brown paper in his hand.

Freed's body shook, tears falling from his eyes.

"He knew there would be a matter of time before they found us. So he sent us away with the weaker light monsters and the children of his group. Him and the adults would meet with others for a last stand," Yuto looked down, nodding solemnly at Freed, who had a bag over his shoulder.

Freed along with the older women left them.

They soon left the Secret Base as well.

"We had been moving ever since. Without any information on Freed or anyone friendly," Yuto stopped on a cliff as he looked over something.

"Though... we saw some... horrifying things on our trip," Yuto looked away as he saw the image in front of him.

It was a destroyed town.

Blue Flames were across the town.

There were black skeletons of human bodies.

Them being burned alive instead of vanishing.

"The Supreme King's Reign so far has been absolute. He controlled everything in this Unknown Dimension. He decided who lived or died," Yuto's narration ended as a small hand gripped his own.

"Are you okay Mr. Yuto?" It was the same girl he had played with before who had asked him, seeing his pained face.

"I-I'm fine. Just in deep thought," Yuto answered, letting go of the hand. "We have to keep going. We have to find a safe spot to rest," Yuto continued on, going left of the cliff surface. Not trusting that the kids could handle going down the hill.

Gongenzaka and Johan watched Yuto go down the hill.

"I'm worried for him. He hasn't even shed a tear when he realized they died," Johan admitted to Goengnzaka as they walked at the back of the group.

"Yuto's home was invaded by Academia. He lost many friends and family. He may be pushing down his emotions in order to not worry us," Gongenzaka gave what he presumed were reasons why Yuto hadn't mourned his lost friends.

"That isn't healthy," Johan looked at Yuto in concern.

His mental state must've been a mess if he didn't accept the ones that had fallen.
