Skybound Soul

I wanted to fly
I eventually did
Felt as free as a butterfly
At least they made me believe
You can call it bitter sweet
Though I liked it a bit
Maybe more than that
But it's hard to admit
It sometimes felt one-side
But it's not I decided

I would often sore sky-high
The bliss ignited in me like fire
Feelings unknown that were at slumber
Awoken in me like great desire
I don't know what to call this surreal pleasure

But like a burning candle
The flames bring light
And the wax burns
All good things must come to an end
Though this was built in admonishment

The sky and I have tales yet to be seen
Hidden by the clouds, though the storms are foreseen
The sky and I have a special bond
Something greater than love
And I yearn for more
