One Night - Amourshipping

Chapter Two

Ash’s POV:
(This takes place after the battle with Team Rocket. I'm lazy and low on motivation T-T)

It’s almost dark and Clemont is cleaning the dishes with the help of Serena. “Noivern, Hawlucha, Greninja, Talonflame return!” I say as my pokemon return to their pokeballs. Serena has her pokemon return to their pokeballs as well. 

“Are we ready for bed?” Clemont asks. We all nod and instead of Bonnie and Serena sleeping together Bonnie crawls into the tent Clemont and I normally use. Clemont notices that Serena and I are confused about why we were switching sleeping partners. “Bonnie said she had a nightmare last night and wanted me to stay with her tonight.” Clemont looks at us and smiles. 

“I hope she feels better in the morning.” I say to Clemont and he nods. Clemont crawls into his and Bonnie's tent. I notice Serena isn’t standing next to me anymore and she isn’t in the tent. I walk into the woods looking for her because she’s nowhere to be found. I keep walking until I hear Serena talking to Braxion and Sylveon and her voice sounds like she’s in pain. 

“I don’t think he’ll ever realize how much I’ve had a crush on him, it hurts knowing the guy I like only likes me as a friend.” Serena says to her pokemon. I listen in and I’m confused on who she’s talking about. I keep listening to see who she’s talking about. 

For a while I’ve known I’ve liked Serena as more than a friend but I never known how to tell her. I found out from a few dreams I’ve had and how I feel when watching Serena practice her routine for the pokemon showcases. I’ve always wondered who she liked but I never have been able to tell. I keep listening although I know it’s probably not right to do. “Sylveon,” Sylveon says to Serena in a caring way. I know Sylveon and Braxion care a lot for their trainer. 

“I highly doubt Ash likes me back, Sylveon.” Serena says combing Braxions fur. I feel my face heat up as I hear her say my name. I heard the sadness in her voice though and I take a deep breath quietly and quietly headed back to the tent so she and her pokemon don’t notice me. 

Once Ash gets back to the tent:

I crawl into the tent Serena and I will be sleeping in tonight. I sit on my sleeping bag and think about what I heard. I soon fall asleep with a smile on my face. But just as I fall asleep I notice Serena opens the tent and crawls on in.
