Chapter Five

Serena’s POV:

I wake up in the morning feeling more warm than I did with a blanket covering me. I roll over and see Ash holding me. My eyes widen and I feel my face heat up as I remember last night's events. I smile and cuddle closer to Ash. I close my eyes and slowly fall back asleep in Ash’s arms feeling calm. 

2 hours later:

I open my eyes and notice Ash is no longer in bed with me. I get out of bed and go to my bag and change into my day clothes. I walk out of the room after I put my hat on. I walk into the lobby where I see the others waiting on me. “Sorry if I made you guys wait.” I say shyly. 

“You’re good Serena, we’ve only been waiting 10 minutes.” Ash says looking at me with his usual smile. I smile back feeling my cheeks get a bit warm. We all sit down and eat breakfast. Ash and I sit next to each other and under the table we hold hands and eat breakfast. “You ready for the pokemon showcase later?” He looks at me. He has his normal smile. I nod and smile. 

“Are you not gonna tell us why you two are holding hands?” Bonnie asks Ash and I. My head jolts to look at her and my face flushes red. Clemont looks at me and Ash and then at his little sister. 

“Are you two dating?” Clemont asks. Ash looks at me as if asking if we should tell them or not. I nod. 

“Last night, after you two went to your room. Serena and I stayed down here for a while and we went on a walk, and then we talked and started dating.” Ash says. Clemont makes an “o” shape with his mouth while Bonnie looks at us with a big smile. 

“Yay! Now Serena can stop doubting if Ash likes her back!” Bonnie says loudly. My face gets redder and I look away. Ash and Clemont laugh at the same time. I finished eating as fast I could after I calmed down. I was nervous and excited for the pokemon showcase tonight. Clemont was telling us the plan for tomorrow and where we'll be heading off to next which just so happens to be Lumios City for Ash's next gym badge.
