You sat in the dorm common room, cheering Denki on as he attempted to beat Bakugo in Mario Kart.

It was a chilly Saturday night, and it wasn't like you had anything better to do, so after much persuasion and puppy dog eyes from Kirishima, you caved and went downstairs.

In reality, you were only there to watch Bakugo, and make sure he didn't break the controller again. You were known as the class quiet girl/boy/person, but also kept everyone in line. Kinda like a class older sibling. Even Bakugo respected you.

After seeing Denki lose on Rainbow road for the fifth time, you sighed and stood up from the couch, stretching your back after leaning against the stiff armrest.

"Alright guys.. I'm gonna head out." You yawned, licking your dry lips.

"Awhhh, L/N..!" Kiri whined, tilting his head. "Cmon.." he lowered his voice. "I'm scared of what Katsuki's gonna do if you're not here.." he muttered, his lips curling into a small smile. "I heard that!" Bakugo growled at his boyfriend, his eyes fixed on the game.

"No, I have homework." You smirked, backing up. "Besides, I-" Your back bumped into a soft wall of muscle, and you immediately startled, stiff arms uprighting you from behind.

"Watch where you're going, Y/N," Tenya Iida, your close friend, smiled down at you, his grip firm but his hands soft. "You don't want to trip."

Your heart sped up, and you felt pink rise to your cheeks. Why was I acting this way? get ahold of yourself, Y/N... You thought, stepping away from him.

Obvious to nobody but yourself, you'd had a crush on Iida since year 1. He was smart and handsome, and you found his silly mannerisms adorable. He was also an already powerful hero-in-training, and he could hold his own on the battlefield.

Sigh... Tenya.

You fought the urge to blush and got your demeanour back, just as Denki spoke up.

"Cool, both the class parents are here." He murmured, still focused on the tv screen. Kirishima grinned as well. "Yeah!"

You winced, annoyed at their various nicknames, while Tenya raised an eyebrow, pensive.

"Class parents? We're not married." He murmured. You felt the pink rise up again, and you pushed it down harder, your body tingling.

You cleared your throat. "Y-yeah. And uh- I'm gonna go to bed still. Night." You replied, your voice slightly hoarse.

"If that's the case, allow me to walk with you. Our dorms are close together, and I came down here just to check on everyone." Tenya smiled, as if this was totally casual and normal for classmates to do. Which it was. And you were totally taking it the wrong way. Ughhhhh..

You hastily nodded, (maybe a bit too eager) and he smiled, his eyes softening behind his glasses. His wrinkles around his eyes were so cute...

"Right! Let us go then." He nodded, chopping his hand down in a quick motion like he always did. He turned on his heel and started towards the elevators, and you kept swiftly in step. You could hear chuckles erupt behind you, and your face reddened with embarrassment.

"Give them no mind," Tenya noticed your red face, tilting his head down at you. "Childish behaviour."

You nodded, and you two turned, reaching the elevators. (A/N: is there elevators? I think so..) He pushed a button and waited, still like a statue.

You glanced over at him, smirking slightly at his rigid appearance. You were the opposite, fidgeting on your heel, rocking back and forth as you two waited.

This elevator was taking too long. This carpet is nice. He is nice. Was he watching you? Was your hair okay? Was your fidgeting weird? You were jolted out of your thoughts as your rocking went too far back and you fell off your balance, letting out a small gasp of surprise.

You felt strong arms around your back and waist, and you stiffened and glanced up at Tenya, whose face was right above yours. He looked surprised, but not shocked. He held you in one arm and pushed his glasses back up his nose with his free hand, setting you down.

"Alright, Y/N?" He asked genuinely, as if not realizing the awkwardness that had passed between you two.

Your feet landed on the ground and you nodded, not bringing yourself to look at him. "Mhm." You mumbled, your face reddened with your embarrassment.

"If you're not careful, Y/N, one day I won't be there to catch you." He murmured, chuckling slightly at his own joke. Your face burned and you scrunched up your nose. "Y-you'll always catch me." You responded swiftly.

His eyebrows raised slightly and he tightened his lips, looking away as a touch of pink spread across his cheeks. Finally! That was the first time you'd even seen him blush, and it was adorable. It was only for a moment, though, as he coughed and resumed his earlier demeanour.

"Well, be careful anyway." He stated. the elevator dinged and opened, clear of people.

You both stepped into the elevator, pushing the button for your floor. The doors closed, and the all might theme played softly from the overhead speakers. From the reflection of the door, you could see Iidas fidgety hands. He never fidgets..

You glanced to your side and raised an eyebrow at them, but if he noticed, he said nothing. The elevator soon arrived at your floor and you both hopped out, Iida turning away to go to his dorm.

"Goodnight, Y/N." he called over his shoulder. You turned but hesitated, not bringing yourself to go back to your dorm just yet. You ran up behind him and tapped his shoulder.

He turned, and seeing it was you, smiled a little, tilting his head. "Uh.. Yes?" His voice lifted, and he stopped walking.

"So.. Tenya. We've been hanging around after class a lot, and it would make sense for us to hang out socially as well," you began to explain, voice innocent. "So I wanted to know if you're free anytime soon?"

He raised his eyebrows, his smile widening. "Sure! I can check my schedule. Who else will you invite?"

Your heart dropped and you tilted your head, not believing you were gonna have to spell this out for him. "No.. just us." You murmured.

He looked confused, but nodded. "Ah, I see! A friendly hangout." He returned, straightening up.

You groaned internally. "Well, I was thinking more than that.." you motioned, hoping he would get the hint.

He raised an eyebrow. "How so..?" He inquired, his eyes narrowing in confusion.

You let out an exasperated sigh. "I have been flirting with you all evening. It's obvious that I want to go on a date with you, Tenya!"  You exclaimed, balling your hands into fists.

He looked shocked, and then a dorky grin clambered onto his face, and he turned red. "A-ah..." he mumbled. "That's.. what that was." He rubbed the back of his neck.

You were also red, but you kept your demeanour and motioned for him to go on.

"In that case.. I would love... to go on a date with you." He mumbled, looking away.

You nodded sharply. "Now why don't you check that calendar of yours?" You smiled, teasing him slightly.

"No need." He responded, looking down at you with a newfound glimmer in his eye. "I'm free right now."
