"TAEHYUNG " Jungkook choked out, his eyes filled with horror and disbelief. Taehyung stood protectively in front of him, buddle of arrows slung over his back and a bow in his hands.
Taehyung turned to face Jungkook, his expression a mix of anger and concern." how stupid you could be jungkook, coming here all alone "
Jungkook looked down, shame-faced. "I-I'm sorry, Taehyung. I just wanted to prove that I could handle things on my own. I never thought Ruby would... would..."
Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "You never think, Jungkook. You just act on impulse and hope for the best. But this time, you almost got yourself killed." He glanced back at the Nephilims, who were starting to stir once more. With a powerful leap, Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jungkook's waist and activated his ODM Gear. The metal coils unraveled, launching them towards the nearest tree with incredible speed. Jungkook clung to Taehyung, his face buried in the crook of taehyung's neck neck.
Taehyung carefully settled Jungkook on a sturdy tree branch before pulling himself up beside jungkook. He kept one arm wrapped protectively around Jungkook's waist, his eyes scanning the ground " you will be safe up here " Taehyung said gruffly. "Those things can't climb."
Jungkook nodded shakily, wrapping his arms around himself. He peered down at the snarling Nephilims circling the tree, then looked up at Taehyung with wide eyes.
Taehyung jumped from the branch, his ODM Gear propelling him towards the nearest Nephilim. He unsheathed his twin swords in midair, the blades gleaming as he slashed at the creature. The Nephilim howled in pain and rage, blood spraying from thiers wounds.
One by one, Taehyung dispatched the Nephilims with brutal efficiency. He moved like a dancer, spinning and leaping through the air, his blades flashing as he carved through the monsters. Within moments, all the Nephilims lay dead on the ground, their bodies dissolving into black goo.
Ruby's voice rang out from above, her tone laced with frustration and relief. "Jungkook! You idiot! And you, Taehyung, always showing up to save the boy. It's so annoying!"
Taehyung's voice was cold and calm, his eyes never leaving Ruby as he spoke. "You really thought I'd let you take Jungkook without a fight, Ruby?."
Ruby sneered, summoning another wave of Nephilims to replace the ones Taehyung had just killed. "You're too late, Taehyung. I've already won. These creatures will overwhelm you, and then I'll take Jungkook and leave this place behind forever."
Taehyung's expression remained unchanging, but his eyes narrowed slightly as he taunted Ruby. "Bring it on, Ruby. I'll kill every last one of these monsters if that's what it takes to keep Jungkook safe. And when they're all gone, I'll come for you."
