Nora couldn’t shake the feeling that Alex was hiding something. She decided to go to the police, hoping they could help. The moment she walked into the station, she was met by Detective Reilly, a no-nonsense officer who had been working the case.

“Ivy’s missing, Detective. I think it’s more than just her running away,” Nora said, showing him the bracelet.

Reilly took the bracelet and examined the symbol carefully. “I’ve seen this before,” he murmured. “A case from five years ago. A missing person, similar circumstances.” He paused, meeting Nora’s gaze. “This could be connected. But you need to stay out of it, kid. It’s dangerous.”

“I can’t,” Nora said, determination in her eyes. “I need to find Ivy. She’s my best friend.”

Reilly sighed, handing her his card. “If you find anything, call me. But don’t do anything stupid, okay?”

That night, as Nora sat in her room, the phone rang. Her heart raced as she picked it up.

“Hello?”

There was no response, just static.

“Nora?” a voice finally crackled through, barely audible. It was Alex’s voice. “You need to stop asking questions. They’re watching you.”

The line went dead.

Nora’s blood ran cold. Who’s watching me?
