I was so angry that it took me a few minutes to calm down.

Ang kapal ng mukha ng hayop! He really flirted with my girlfriend in front of me? And how effin' disrespectful could that asshole get? Hindi ba't may girlfriend s'ya? H'wag na h'wag n'yang lalapitan si Moira kundi papatayin ko talaga s'ya!

I was so busy ranting in my head and it took me a while for me to realize that Moira was unusually quiet.

"Okay ka lang ba, Baby?" I asked.

She nodded in reply without looking at me.

Tangnang lalaking 'yun, natakot yata itong girlfriend ko sa kanya! I thought my anger tripling.

"Did you feel harassed by that asshole? It's a good thing that you did not take his hand or I would have been forced to put a bullet through his head. Lintek na lalaking 'yun, pinainit n'ya talaga 'yung ulo. Ang kapal ng mukha!"

She laughed and the laughter sounded so hollow that it seemed strange.

I looked at her and she was looking oddly at me – as if she was seeing me for the first time – as if I was a stranger and not someone who's been holding her hand.

"Bakit?" I cautiously asked.

She sighed before she smiled. "That's the real reason why you're upset? Kasi nabara mo si Leslie?"

I felt my stomach cave. Oh, shit...Baby, it's not like that. God, George, tell her the truth. You are not only weaving lies here, but you are also making her doubt your real feelings for her...pero, paano?

"No..." I slowly replied. "Pero...kung hindi s'ya humirit, eh, 'di sana nasapak ko 'yung boyfriend n'ya."

"Hm...okay." She shrugged.

I hated how cold that gesture came across. Baby, h'wag naman gany'an...

"Ano 'yun?" I asked...

"Wala." She smiled again. "Tara diretso na tayo kay Duchess para makuha na natin s'ya."
