Steve took the conversation with Herobrin in the attic as an attempt to make friends, so he began to reach out to him. Despite his fear, fatigue, and sometimes a bad mood, he always tried to smile and be friendly with his white-eyed friend, and also quite often invited him to go somewhere with him. For example, one day they went to the caves together, where Steve began to dig a passage. Where, it is not known. Somewhere in the middle. Maybe they'll get lucky and stumble upon something interesting. And I stumbled upon it.

— Wow! I didn't know there were more lush caves here!  Steve looked around with great surprise and joy.

There were a large number of vines growing on the low ceiling with glowing berries on them, which were like thousands of small suns lighting the way in an empty quiet dungeon. While Steve was rejoicing at the discovery with stars in his eyes, Herobrine was as cold and calm as possible, as always. He wasn't too surprised by this. Still, there are more beautiful places. The guy, in turn, walked around looking at everything.

— Look how many berries there are, — he took one twig, examining it, — Maybe you can use them for food, don't you think? I think it will go with sweet berries, —and then Steve accidentally saw a purple glitter in the distance, —Whoa, look! There are amethysts here! I've been wanting to find them for a long time, but I haven't come across them in any way. We need to take a couple.

He carefully jumped down two blocks, where darkness partially reigned, but fortunately, the torch in his hand illuminated everything around. That's just what he saw horrified the guy. Worms and slugs of a nasty grayish-black and black color crawled all over the surface of the amethyst vein. Steve had never seen such a cluster of creatures unknown to him. He pressed himself against the wall, and the torch in his hand trembled. However, just a few seconds later, after another blink, all these insects disappeared somewhere. The guy examined the entire vein, not understanding what it was and where it all went. Then he partially turned his head and realized that Herobrine had saved him. For a moment, it seemed to Steve that a white glow seemed to penetrate his consciousness and take control, but only for a moment.

The next time, the two of them went into the forest to chop down trees.

— Can you break a tree as fast as you did when you started building the roof? — the guy asked.

Herobrin nodded slowly, stretched out his hand and squeezed it a little. At the same moment, several trees ahead suddenly broke up into blocks, hung in the air for a second, and then fell to the ground along with sticks and saplings. This surprised Steve. He had the idea to use this power in everyday affairs, and Herobrin was not against it. He destroyed entire walls with one blow, forming tunnels 3 by 3 blocks, built stone bridges over lava lakes, grew crops in a field in a second, placed torches in dark places. And in parallel with these cases, Herobrine saved Steve from hallucinations.

How to use it? — the white-eyed man did not understand, taking the hoe in his hands.

— Well, look, you need to lower the end into the ground and make these movements. It's called loosening,— Steve pointed out.

Herobrin tried to repeat after him, but after the first impact on the ground, the instrument broke. The wooden stick just broke, leaving one part of the hoe in the ground and the other in his hand.

—Uh... don't need it so much,— Steve grinned awkwardly,— Don't worry, you can try again. Fortunately, there is enough stone and wood. Let me make another hoe.

But Herobrin broke this unfortunate instrument every time. It will stick too hard into the ground, then pull too hard on itself when trying to loosen, then pull out of the ground so hard that the stone tip will fly off. In the end, he got tired of trying and said that he did not understand what this hoe was for, that it was useless and that it would be better to use a pickaxe in this case. It is much easier to use.
