Herobrin returned home just after sunset. The whole area was enveloped in impenetrable darkness, in which even one's own nose could not be seen. Yeah, it's a mysterious atmosphere and, to some, it might even seem pleasant, if not for one thing. Being in this very darkness is dangerous for your health. First of all, for the mental. Upon entering the house, Herobrin did not find anyone, which strained him. However, he saw a white piece of paper on the table. Taking it and looking at it, the white-eyed man understood everything and rushed into the forest faster than a bullet, periodically teleporting along the way: "Where could he go?! — he stopped at the fork, looking first in one direction, then in the other, — Black darkness! I hate it!" The last one sounded terribly threatening in his head, and after that he calmed down and began to think more clearly. He still needs to help Steve.

Where could you go... — Herobrin asked himself.

And in an instant the answer came to him. Anyway, one of the possibilities is where his buddy might be. He rushed towards the cliff: "The darkness will want to kill him. To kill again and again until he surrenders and finally submits to her, Herobrin thought, I will not allow it. I'll hold you, Steve." He ran to the place of the cliff at the most opportune moment. Against the background of the moon, he saw a familiar silhouette, and instantly made several dozen red torches appear around on the ground and in the sky. They illuminated the area with a blood-yellow light.

Steve, stop!

He didn't even turn around, standing right at the edge of the cliff.

—Please... just... let me die and go where I have to go," Steve begged softly.

Strangely, his voice was so calm that Herobrin changed his mind for a moment to stop him. But only for a moment.

- No. You don't want that. Please, let's go,—he took a cautious step forward, —I'll help you.

—Leave me alone,— Steve's voice sounded a little rougher and more serious.

I'm sorry.

Herobrine teleported right in front of the guy and pushed him in the chest so hard that he flew several meters away and fell on his back. He coughed involuntarily from the blow. The first one hovered in the air for several seconds, and then slowly flew up to the man lying down, landed next to him and sat on him, pressing his index and ring fingers to his forehead, and put his other hand on his shoulder. Steve, after these actions, grabbed Herobrin by the shoulders very tightly, which is not typical for him. If he had clenched his palms, he would have definitely broken his bones.

Let me help you, Steve,— the white—eyed man said, trying to get into his mind, but he met an obstacle, which hurt Steve, and he kicked and winced, —Please trust me.

— After you experimented on me?! — He exclaimed.

I did it to understand the nature of darkness. I'm very sorry, but you have to understand that I just want to help you!

— I don't need that kind of help! Get out of my head!!! — Steve tried to stand up, but Herobrin lifted him up and hit the ground again.

"I can't give up right now! Too much has happened to give in to this darkness so easily!": thought the second, not knowing how to moderate the anger of the first.

I'm sorry, Steve. I'm so sorry. You've always been so kind to me, and I've been so rude to you. You deserve a peaceful, peaceful life, not a life locked up in the dark. Please forgive me, —Herobrin sincerely apologized, feeling remorse for the first time in his life.
