In his hand, Scott held a packed duffel bag, he swung it over his shoulder, trotting down the stairs. He paused, his gaze meeting Liam's. An expression of confliction washed over Scott's face as they stared at eachother for just a few moments.
"They're alive," Liam informed, the guilt evident in his voice.
Scott looked at him in confusion, resulting in Liam doing what he does constantly. Nervously ramble. "I mean, the Chimeras. Some of them— not all of them," he blurted out. The Alpha nodded faintly, glancing awkwardly at the door. "I know," he mumbled.
Liam's eyebrows raised in surprise by his uncharacteristically curt answer. "Oh... you do?" He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Yeah..." Scott hummed.
Liam shifted his weight between his feet as the room was left in a heavily uncomfortable silence.
"I... I'm sorry, I can't talk right now, Liam." Scott murmured, waving slightly as he moved to the door. Liam's eyes widened partially as he took a step forward hastily, "It was Theo. He's the one who brought them back, and now they're with him. Like they're his pack." He explained, desperate to keep him from leaving on bad terms.
Scott nodded once, "I know..." he spoke, sounding mildly impatient.
Liam's features shift from pained to curious as he cocked his head to the side slightly in question, "Where are you going?" He asked, his gaze fixated on the duffel bag slung over Scott's shoulder. "To get Kira," Scott sighed. "Her dad told us that her mom took her out to New Mexico, to this place called Shiprock. They're trying to figure out a way to help her. But, it's dangerous... So, we're gonna go find her and bring her back."
Eager to earn back Scott's trust, Liam instantly spoke up. "I'll come with you!" He offered.
Scott averted eye contact, holding his hand up to stop Liam. "Uh... you can't," he mumbled, turning to leave as his hand dropped back to his side. "Let me help..." Liam pleaded, stepping forward, but Scott backed up quickly, like a post-traumatic response.
"Let me do something. Just tell me what I can do," Liam begged, the desperate tone in his voice making Scott hesitate. Although, his fear overpowered him and he shook his head faintly.
"Don't do anything," he muttered before leaving without another word.

Carmen stood with Theo and Tracey, looking out across the bus bay. She shivered, biting her lip to stop herself from complaining how cold it was. Theo seemed concentrated, like he was focusing in on something.
"Did you see it?" Tracey asked, glancing at Theo, then at Carmen. He shook his head, sighing in frustration. "No, it was too fast." He murmured. "But it's here?" Tracey questioned. "Yeah, so keep your distance." He murmured, looking down at the red-head beside him.
"It will come to Carmen, hopefully." Theo huffed. From what he had heard, it was a Hellhound that could attract and battle the Chimera. Although he knew she couldn't fight it off, he thought maybe he could get a closer look at it.
