California, Beacon Hills--------------
"Is three enough?" Aurora asked, her eyes roving over the three laptops layed out on the bed. "Depends on how many cameras they have, but I think so..." Stiles murmured.
"Do you think three people is enough?" Scott asked and Stiles hesitated, before his eyes narrowed. "I'm just suggesting you bring as much help as you can!" Scott threw his hands up in defence. "We aren't doing it," Stiles seethed. "Doing what?" Aurora chimed in, gazing between the two. "Bringing Carmen." Stiles huffed, his shoulders slumped. Liam's instantly head raised at the suggestion.
"Are we really doing this?" Lydia interrupted, glancing between the group with an anxious stare. "We're doing it. Tonight." Scott nodded firmly. "But isn't it kind of dangerous?" Liam spoke up, and all eyes moved to him. "It's incredibly dangerous and, borderline idiotic." Stiles corrected with an innocent smile. Liam furrowed his eyebrows, his gaze rolling back over to Scott.
"Have you guys done something like this before?" He asked, clearly worried. "Something dangerous? Or something idiotic?" Stiles tilted his head slightly, his arms crossed over his chest. "I think it's a yes to both." Aurora apulled her lips into a thin line.
Scott ignored their unhelpful comments, turning to Liam, "You don't have to be a part of it if you don't want to." He gave him a reassuring smile which Liam did not return. "I'm not scared." He shook his head faintly, almost as if he was unsure. "Then you're borderline idiotic." Stiles began, "If we do this, we don't know what's coming for us. You know that, right?" He warned.
"How do we even know something's definitely coming?" Aurora muttered. "Because the tape from Garrett's bag said visual confirmation required." Scott explained. "Simon said the same thing. He couldn't get paid by the Benefactor until he had proof that you guys were dead." Stiles added.
"So the idea is, what if you kill someone on the deadpool, but you can't send proof?" He asked, "You don't get paid." Aurora put simply, shrugging casually. "But how does that get us any closer to The Benefactor?" Liam asked. "He still needs to know it the target is really dead," Scott began, "Especially someone high on the list." Stiles interjected and Scott nodded before continuing, "So if he wants visual confirmation."
"He's going to have to come get it himself."
...
"Are you guys totally sure about this?" Liam looked to Aurora, who stood between him and Stiles. His eyes then trailing to Scott who was laying flat on the bed, Kira and Ms. Yukimara towering over him. "I think Liam's kind of nervous. Maybe you should tell him it's going to be alright." Kira nudged Scott. "It's going to be alright," Scott sent him a smile.
"So, you've done this before, right?" He wondered. "I've seen it done." Ms. Yukimara nonchalantly. "Is that just as good?" Liam swallowed.
"No."
"Mom, your not exactly inspiring confidence." Kira sighed. "Good. This is a terrible idea." She deadpanned and Scott let out a shakey exhale. "Do you want us to do it without you?" Kira asked but Ms. Yukimara rolled her eyes, taking her daughter's hand and placing it over Scott's chest. "Put your hand over his heart."
"Hold on. What happens while I'm out? Am I gonna' feel anything?" Scott pursed his lips. "It may feel like your dreaming," she informed. He nodded, laying his head back down before it shot back up again. "Good dreams or bad dreams?" He looked up at her with slightly terrified eyes. "I suppose that depends on you," she murmured and Scott nodded to Kira.
