Aiden Storm is the most handsome man I have ever encountered. His dark onyx eyes, followed by long, thick lashes, captivate you instantly.
With his fair skin, sharp jawline, and muscular frame standing at 6'1", he embodies an ideal of masculinity that is hard to resist.
The tattoos that inked his right arm add an intriguing edge to his already captivating appearance. There's a powerful, dominating aura about him that sends shivers down my spine.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have the chance to marry a billionaire. When Mrs. Storm, Aiden's mother, continuously urged me to consider this marriage, I felt compelled to agree.
She had become a mother figure to me in the absence of my own, who had cruelly abandoned me, labelling me a mistake. Their harsh words and actions still haunt me, leaving a permanent scar on my heart.
For eight long years, I lived in loneliness, suffering with the pain of loneliness. Although I knew Aiden was an arrogant and dangerous man, distant and cold, I clung to the hope that marrying him would free me from my loneliness and lead to a happy life.
But I now soon discovered that I was sorely mistaken.
As we stepped into the grand foyer of the mansion, the voices of laughter and celebration of our marriage today still lingered in my ears. The wedding had been a dream, a whirlwind of love and joy, and I had felt like the happiest person alive.
But as I turned to Aiden, the weight of reality began to settle in. His expression was distant, almost cold, and it sent a chill through me.
"Can we talk?" Aiden said, his voice devoid of the warmth I had expected. I nodded, my heart racing as he led me to a quieter corner, away from the chatter of our marriages' celebration.
The walls of the mansion felt like they were closing in on me, the beautiful decorations suddenly feeling suffocating.
Once they were alone, Aiden's demeanour shifted. "Elena, I need to be honest with you," he began, his tone serious. The words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken emotions. "I'm not really interested in marriage. I don't want you to interfere in my matters."
My heart dropped, confusion and disbelief swirling within me. This was not the future I had envisioned. I felt a rush of emotions-anger, sadness, and betrayal. "What do you mean you're not interested? We just got married!" My voice trembled, a mix of hurt and frustration.
Aiden crossed his arms, his gaze unwavering. "I never wanted a marriage. I thought you understood that." His words felt like a slap, each one cutting deeper than the last.
I tried to search his face for any sign of regret or affection, but all I saw was a wall that seemed unbreakable.
I knew Aiden was distant, but after meeting his brother, who was completely the opposite-joyful and fun-I thought Aiden couldn't possibly be this heartless.
