I hold the collar to Sebastian's hoodie up to my nose. His jacket smells heavily of amber and cigarettes. I've grown to really love that smell. I still believe he lent me his hoodie.
It's so warm and it does feel like he is constantly hugging me. The elevator dings letting me know that I made it to level 40. When I step out I'm instantly hit with cold air.
Wow he wasn't kidding, now I kind of wish I could have put on leggings instead of shorts. I make my way down the latter to the slot below.
No monsters so far so I just begin breaking rocks. I make sure to pick up any ore I find deciding to wait on filling my bag up with rocks. I'll grab those on my way out, first gems and ore.
I open a few boxes to find some weird looking carrots and some coal. Cool I wonder what kind of carrot this is? I finally find the next later and drop down.
When I do I notice a blue shining object on the farther side of the cave. When I approach it I notice there is actually 2 of them. They look like rain drops solidified. I'll have to ask Clint what they are called.
I pick them up and put them in my bag. I goal today is to actually find obsidian. When I first met Sebastian when I saw his eyes I remember thinking they were the same color as obsidian so I want to find one for him.
I don't even know if he likes gems but I feel like he would like the sentiment. I reach the next floor and I am immediately met with what looks like bouncing dust balls.
I take out my sword and carefully approach them. Rather be safe than sorry in this kind of situation. The second I start stepping closer a group of them start swarming me. I swing my sword eventually killing all of them.
I did manage to get a couple cuts and bruises on my legs but only minor stuff that will go away quickly. The next two levels I get through quickly still only encountering those dust balls and a couple bats. The next level seems pretty empty and a little darker, my head lamp isn't the best but I still shines a decent amount of light.
I come soon a weird looking rock. It's abnormally round and looks a purpleish color. When I break it open to my surprise an obsidian sits among the broken rock.
Suddenly I feel a chill crawl up my spine. I'm definitely not alone. Before I can swing my sword a skeleton like creature attacks me I managed to lay on my back and kick it away with my legs getting a gnarly gash down my thigh.
I quickly grab the obsidian and decide I need to get to the next level and just hope there is an elevator. I try to run but every step I take makes blood pour out of my thigh.
I finally get my sword out and start attacking the skeleton hoping it's just the one. When I finally manage to kill that one I turn around to find another one already swinging its arm down at me.
He claws my arm cutting Sebastian's hoodie in the process. "Fuck!". I yell as I begin attacking the skeleton my arm throbbing but feeling no pain due to adrenaline.
When I kill him the matter appears behind him and I quickly head down. When I get down the latter and shine my light into the cave I see there is a while ton of monsters. Bats dust balls and what seems like 3 of the skeleton guys.
I look towards where the elevator should be and book it towards once I realize there is one. I quickly mash the button to leave the mines and just before they come rushing at me all at once the doors close.
I hear multiple thuds on the doors before the elevator starts rising on its own. I sit back against the wall and start applying my own first aid.
Luckily I brought cleaning supply's bandages and some of the medicine that the dwarf sells. What did he call it? Life elixir or something like that. I take a sip and the bleeding actually stops instantly. What the fuck is this stuff?
