N landed on the ground graciously, while you fell face first into the snow, wincing in pain as you slowly got up, watching as N swiped up Uzi from over V.

"Whoops! Easy there, buddy." He calmly spoke with a smile on his face, before Uzi stabbed him with V's nanite acid tail that she ripped off.

"Haha, ow. Up you go!" N chimed, throwing Uzi into the air as her screams slowly became more and more distant.

You stood up yourself, looking at V before looking at the sky.

"Yeah I can follow her— Woah." You started, about to spring up into the air but V caught onto your tail before you could even go.

"Did you also go on a massacre and try to kill a bunch of people?"

"...Perhaps? I killed one person, though! Let me go, V."

You replied, kicking her hand away from your tail before you took off flying in the sky, using what N had taught you to catch up to Uzi.

"What did I say about antagonizing both of them?" N lectured, his voice muffled since his hand in his mouth as he healed the injury from the nanite acid.

"Ugh, you always take their side!"

"Uzi, you wanna tell me what's the matter?" You gently asked, falling right next to her as you awaited an answer.

"No! Don't look...! I'm gross and eating people and stuff!" She covered herself with her zombie-like wings, yet that still didn't prevent you from catching the pain in her voice.

"...Yeah, we'll figure that part out."

"But you know that's not what I mean." You mumbled, moving closer to her to softly pry her wings open just the smallest bit.

"Are you, like... gonna leave me?"

"Uzi—"

"Never mind, it's stupid!" She cut you off, rolling away from you as you felt your heartstrings tug at how shaky her voice was.

"Y'know... We aren't that different from each other, as you saw earlier tonight... But, no matter what happens to you, you'll still be my best friend. You make everything seem fun. I... Kind of forgot what that's like." You quietly rambled, staring at the clouds as you caught a glimpse of Uzi peeking out of her wings.

She pushed them aside to speak to you clearly, obviously taking notice of the similar wings and tail that you both had.

"...Same."

After a moment of silence, you took her tail and mimicked it speaking while you put on a fake accent.

"Then we'll stick together!"

"Haha— Don't frickin touch it!" Uzi swatted your hand and took her tail back from you, before putting her hands on her hips and mimicking a British accent.

"Plus, my voice is more like—"

The two of you landed in the snow, causing a snowy impact to occur as you were met with the cold snow once more.

You were on the ground with Uzi, on your knees as your wings and tail disappeared like magic.

"Accent was a bad idea anyway... (Y/N), I'm... Sorry." Uzi apologized, taking your hands into hers as you awkwardly chuckled.

"No, I think I should apologize... I think I cut off your hand. But eh... Not like we killed anyone."

"O-Oh, no— I definitely—"

"Kidding. I killed someone too. Let's just... Avoid another whole spire. Baby steps. Together?" You asked, a gentle smile on your face as you stared at her warmly.

She nodded, and the two of you embraced each other like two siblings who just made up from their conflict.

When the two of you got up, N immediately ran towards you both, tackling the two of you into a hug.

"N— This is the second time..." You mumbled, but still hugged back anyway.

His hugs were warm. You'd cherish every single one.

On the bus, both N and Uzi slept on your shoulders, leaving you unable to move. Yet you didn't mind as you had your headphones on, blasting your music as you stared out the window.

The bug Uzi found crawled into her hat as she remained asleep, while N subconsciously grabbed onto your hand while asleep.

As the sun began to rise, Uzi's hand was caught slowly beginning to burn, and you noticed this. After becoming what you learned was a zombie drone, you also knew that you couldn't be in the sun anymore.

You quickly took Uzi's hand out of the sunrise and let it rest in her lap, a soft smile on your face as you gazed at how peaceful Uzi looked.

For once in a while, she was tranquil. Free of suffering from The Solver for now. And you were glad. You really liked your light blue eyes, too.
