School sucks! Let me tell you! The things you see on tv where they spend like an hour in the hall and ten minutes in class is not how it happens! You actually have to sit and learn stuff!
Okay enough about school that's giving me a headache.
It's been about three weeks since we found Bryan and in about a week dad is leaving us with grandma for a month! By time he gets back though school will already be out for summer break.
Anyways me, Bryan, and Arcy are walking to grandmas house because we just got out of school and dad and Aunt Selena are working.
"Wanna play instruments when we get there?" Arcy asked.
"Definitely! I'm glad I left mum's set there." I said and skipped along the sidewalk.
"You're gonna trip." Bryan laughed.
"Am no-" I was cut off by tripping over air. "I hate when you're right." I mumbled getting back up.
"You are quite clumsy Haz." Arcy giggled.
"Meh."
"I call drums!" Bryan randomly shouted.
"I got guitar!" Arcy claimed.
"Leaves me with piano!" I laughed then walked up the driveway seeing as we are already there.
"You kids got homework?" Grandpa Scott asked as soon as we walked in.
"No, just gonna go in the music room." I called and ran down the hall with Bryan and Arcy trailing behind.
"You got any of moms songs?" Bryan asked.
"Yeah, some of the ones she didn't put on the albums too." I told him.
"Lets play one then." He said going over to the drums and getting situated. Arcy was already tuning the guitar.
Meh, we're ten and can play instruments like bosses. We cool!
"Come back?" I ask. They both nod and take the music sheets and start playing. Arcy nods to me meaning I'm singing the whole thing by myself.
"You said it in a simple way,
4 AM, the second day,
How strange that I don't know you at all.
Stumbled through the long goodbye,
One last kiss, then catch your flight,
Right when I was just about to fall
I told myself don't get attached,
But in my mind I play it back,
Spinning faster than the plane that took you...
And this is when the feeling sinks in,
I don't wanna miss you like this,
Come back... be here, come back... be here.
I guess you're in New York today,
I don't wanna need you this way,
Come back... be here, come back... be here.
The delicate beginning rush,
The feeling you can know so much,
Without knowing anything at all.
And now that I can put this down,
If I had known what I'd known now,
I never would have played so nonchalant.
