my roommate kasi!
𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐚 💕 :
Okay girlie.. nasa café ako rn.
𝐘𝐨𝐮:
The usual café?
𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐚 💕:
Yep.Sam checks her reflection in the hallway mirror, brushing a stray hair back into place. She glances around the apartment with a sigh—the mess that Reeon has somehow managed to expand in just a few hours is everywhere. She grabs her bag, but just as she's about to leave, Reeon looks up from his spot on the couch, where he's been watching a variety show and munching on chips.
Reeon: "Saan ka pupunta?"
He asks it so casually, as if they're old friends who'd spent years sharing every detail of their lives. Sam resists the urge to roll her eyes, already feeling the crumbs of chips on the edge of the couch that she's been cleaning up every day.
Sam: "I'm going to meet my friend, Nina. We're grabbing coffee."
Reeon raises an eyebrow, a mischievous smile tugging at his lips.
Reeon: "Coffee, huh? 'diba dapat tayo yun. Roomies bonding over caffeine?"
Sam gives him a deadpan look, crossing her arms.
Sam: "First of all, I don't remember agreeing to that. Second, our 'roomie bonding' usually just involves me reminding you to clean up."
She doesn't wait for his reply as she steps out, but she can still hear his soft chuckle behind her. Despite herself, she finds herself smiling on the way to the cafe, already preparing to tell Nina all about her messy new roommate.
𝗦𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗮'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Sam slumps down at the cafe table, dropping her bag with a dramatic sigh. Nina raises an eyebrow, stirring her coffee as she waits for Sam to launch into her rant.
Nina: "Alright, spill. You look like you've just survived a war zone."
Sam: "Oh, you have no idea, Nina. I walked into the apartment today, and it was like... like I'd entered a pigsty. My new roommate—Reeon? Total mess. Clothes everywhere, boxes half-opened, chips on the couch. It's like he thinks 'moving in' means turning the entire apartment into his personal storage room."
Nina: smirking "Sounds like a nightmare for Ms. Organized-and-Clean, huh?"
Sam: groans "Nightmare doesn't even cover it. And he was just sitting there, totally unbothered, acting like I was overreacting for wanting things... I don't know, livable. I had to basically pull teeth to get him to promise to clean up."
Nina: laughs "Oh, this sounds like it's going to be good. A neat freak and a human tornado sharing an apartment? I give it two weeks before one of you snaps."
Sam: "That's what worries me. I just met the guy, and I'm already contemplating where to hide the evidence if I lose it."
Nina: teasing "Oh come on, Sam. It might not be that bad. Sometimes a little 𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘰 can be... fun. Keeps life interesting."
Sam: sighs, rolling her eyes "I like my version of interesting, Nina. You know, the kind where things are clean, organized, and... sane. But with Reeon? I can already tell that he's going to drive me up the wall. And his friend Elias was there, too, acting all calm and amused, like this is some sitcom they're starring in."
Nina: "Oh, so it's parang 2v1? You're not just getting one chaotic guy, but his friend in the background, too."
Sam: "Exactly! Elias was just there, looking at me like i was the weird one for wanting basic cleanliness. He actually said I'm in for an 'interesting year.' And Reeon just laughed it off like he'd already decided i'm the uptight one."
Nina: grins, sipping her coffee "Well... i mean, you can be a bit intense about cleanliness you know. Not that it's a bad thing! But maybe they see you as, like, the responsible one, the one who's all 'rules and order.' They probably find it entertaining or something."
Sam: pauses, groaning "Great. I'm the uptight, responsible one. The mom of the apartment."
Nina: nudges her playfully "Maybe that's not such a bad thing. Sounds like someone needs to keep those two in line. Besides, you might be surprised. Sometimes, messy people have a way of... I don't know, making life more exciting."
Sam: "I don't need 'exciting' if it means living in a disaster zone. I just want a roommate who understands basic human decency. Is that too much to ask?"
Nina: "Nah, you just need to make him see it your way. You know, set some boundaries—nicely, of course."
Sam: "Trust me, I tried the 'nice' approach. But he just smiled and said, 'whatever you say, roomie.' Like he's humoring me!"
Nina: laughing "Oh, I love this guy already."
Sam: glares playfully "Nina, don't encourage him!"
Nina: "Fine, fine. But think of it this way—maybe he's not as bad as you think. I mean, yeah, he sounds like a mess, but maybe he'll surprise you."
Sam: sighs, reluctantly "Maybe. I guess I'll give it a little more time... but if I find one more chip on that couch, I'm dragging him out by his ear."
Nina: "Deal. And if you need backup, I'll be there, camera ready. I wouldn't miss this for the world."
