Chapter 3: The Mysterious Disconnect
Sarah said, "Aww, I forgot! At first, I noticed you're from Kozhikode City School. I'm also from there!"
Zaim smiled, "Really? Which grade are you in?"
Sarah leaned in, but before she could answer, someone called her from downstairs. "Wait here, I'll be right back," she said, hurrying out of the room.
Zaim nodded and decided to grab dinner, leaving the room as well.
When Sarah returned, she was met with a surprise. The window was closed, and when she opened it, Zaim's room was gone. The familiar view from her own room replaced it.
Confused, Sarah wondered if she had hallucinated or dreamed the whole encounter.
Meanwhile, Zaim returned to his room, finding the window closed. He thought, "Maybe her room is inaccessible at night?" He wasn't fully convinced but assumed it was possible.
"Aisshh, she left without telling me her grade," Zaim chuckled, shaking his head.
As they settled in for the night, both Sarah and Zaim looked forward to unraveling the enigma surrounding their connection.
At the next day Sarah woke up seeing a light, pink glow on her wall.Urgency coursing through her veins to open the door but todays reason was different; she was in a rush to open the door, driven by curiosity about her encounter with Zaim. Did the multiverse really exist? She breezed through her morning routine, excitement propelling her toward the window. Would Zaim's room reappear? Her excitement flew her towards the window to know if it it was true or not but her enthusiasm was short-lived. Instead of Zaim's room, she saw a familiar yet different view.
Disappointment and confusion washed over her. Nature's serenity, however, provided a calming balm. The violet-tinted sky outside her window momentarily distracted her from the mystery.
At school, Sarah, an ambivert, kept her encounter private. She polled her friends instead: "Do you believe in the multiverse?" Their skepticism didn't faze her. Lost in thought of the window, Zaim, and their enigmatic connection.
Zaim, as an extrovert, shared his story with friends, who responded with good-natured teasing. Undeterred, he dove into multiverse-themed movies, seeking answers.
For six days, both Sarah and Zaim checked the window daily, hoping for a change. But nothing happened .
