Beyond the window

Chapter 11 : outing

Zaim and Sarah practiced together, helping each other and gaining a deeper understanding of one another. As a result, they became close friends and spent more time together. One day, while walking to school, Zaim mentioned that he was planning an outing with Aizam and Riya and invited Sarah and her friend Diya to join them. Sarah agreed and asked Diya, who accepted without hesitation. With their parents' support, they planned to visit Kozhikode Beach and Lion's Park nearby.

When they discussed the plan, they realized they would be busy with drama rehearsals and exams, which were scheduled for two weeks after the drama performance. Therefore, they decided to go as soon as possible. Aizam suggested, "Why can't we go tomorrow? It's a holiday for schools and colleges, and the amusement park will be open." They finalized the plan.

Sarah was too excited to sleep, feeling as though she had missed (Zaim from Turvan). Eventually, she drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Sarah overslept and woke up late. Her alarm hadn't gone off because she had set it for PM instead of AM. She was awakened by the sound of Zaim, Aizam, and Riya calling her. They teased her for being late, but she quickly got ready and joined them. However, Diya couldn't join them because she had to attend a relative's funeral.

On the bus ride, Zaim shared some exciting news: he would be moving into a house next to Sarah's, and they could go to school together. Moreover, the window of his room would be directly opposite hers, which thrilled Sarah.

As they approached the beach, Sarah suggested getting off the bus and walking the rest of the way. "It'll be really good exercise," she said. Zaim agreed without hesitation, and Riya and Aizam concurred. They walked to the beach, enjoying the scenic views along the way.

On their stroll, they bought pickled mangos and pineapple, which was Riya's favorite snack. They savored the treats while taking in the breathtaking views of the beach.

As they spent more time at the beach, they all wanted to stay there for the entire day. However, they didn't have a tent, so they decided to buy one and spend the day there. They canceled their plans to visit the amusement park and instead headed to the mall to buy the necessary items.

At the mall, they purchased a tent, snacks, beautiful lights, and other essentials. They also spent some time enjoying indoor games and exploring the mall.

After their mall trip, they returned to the beach and set up their tent. As the sun began to set, they were treated to a stunning view of the warm, purple-pink sky. The sun hid behind clouds that resembled cotton candy, creating a breathtaking scene.

The group enjoyed the sunset together, capturing the moment in their hearts and cameras. It was a day filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories.

As night fell, Zaim and Aizam secretly set up a campfire, planning to surprise Riya and Sarah. Their plan worked, and the girls were delighted by the warm and cozy flames.

As they enjoyed the campfire, they decided to play a game of Truth or Dare. Zaim was the first to take a turn, and he chose Dare. His friends suggested that he propose to Aizam, which he did in a playful and romantic manner. Zaim proudly declared that Aizam had been by his side for a long time, and they were like brothers. He even picked Aizam up and twirled him around, making Riya and Sarah laugh uncontrollably.

Next, Aizam took a turn and chose Truth. When asked if he had someone special in his life, he smiled and said yes. Zaim teasingly asked if he knew who it was, and Aizam tried to silence him, feeling shy and embarrassed.

Riya's turn came next, and she chose Dare. She was asked to sing a song, and she did so with a beautiful, mild voice. Finally, it was Sarah's turn, and she chose to share a secret. However, she didn't reveal much, only mentioning something about a window and promising to share more later.

As the night wore on, the friends continued to play and bond over many sweet moments. They felt like Sarah had become a part of their trio, making it no longer just a trio.

As the evening drew to a close, they retired to their tent, where Riya and Sarah had set up beautiful, girly lights. They enjoyed late-night snacks and gossiped before drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, Zaim called out to Sarah as she watched the beach. He confessed his feelings to her, revealing a new chapter in their friendship.
