Scaring the mortals

Extra 2: 15 years later

Estelle Blofis is a perfectly normal girl (at least that is what all her classmates thought): She wasn't popular, but she was also not an outcast. She wasn't rich, but she was also not poor. She is pretty, but it was a natural kind of beauty, never attracting much attention, although there were boys that had crushes on her (to which she was completely oblivious).

The only thing that was not normal (to the mortals) is that she is the daughter of the English teacher, who was a teacher at the school for almost 20 years, and that she has a older brother who still holds a Mundial record of speed in a High School swimming competition, but she never talked about what her brother did for a living.

Of course, she loved her brother more than anything, he was always there for her, but it wasn't like she could tell everyone that her brother is a Greek (and roman) god.

She had inherited her mom's ability of seeing through the mist, but she didn't had the clairvoyance that Rachel had shown when a teenager, so being the Oracle was not in her future.

But she did followed her brother's footsteps and joined the swimming team. The coach's name is David and Estelle discovered that he had been Percy's classmate on High School during the first meeting of the team (and it was his first year teaching there).

Of course she told everything to Percy as soon as she figured it out ( by praying to him, of course), so she wasn't surprised when close to the end of the training Percy and Annabeth showed up to pick her up.

This is what happened:

The training was about to end when the couple walked in the swimming pool area.

He was wearing surfer clothing's (Estelle knew he had lost a bet with Kym), and had black hair and green eyes. Incredibly handsome. No one would ever think that he was 32-year-old, he seemed younger.

She was wearing fancier clothing, but still casual, and had curly blond hair and grey eyes that seemed to stare at your soul. She is pregnant, very close to the due date (the baby was supposed to come in about a week, but as she is a goddess, she didn't need the rest that Sally had needed, so many years before, as it was not necessary), and no one would believe it was already her third pregnancy. She is incredibly beautiful as well.

As soon as they walked in, all the eyes turned to them (many jaws dropped).

- Well, this is nostalgic – Percy said with a smile, looking around.

- You used to spend more time in this pool than anywhere else in the school – Annabeth replied – of course it's nostalgic.

- Percy! Annabeth! – exclaimed Estelle, getting out of the pool and jumping (literally) on her brother.

- Little Starfish! – Percy exclaimed, catching her effortless, and swirling around, as if she weighed nothing. – How was your training?

- It was great! – she said, looking around – where are my cute niece and nephew? Where are Zoe and Charlie?

Zoe is the older one, she is 5, her hair is black, and she has grey eyes. Charlie is the younger (until little Sally is born), he is 2, he has blond hair and green eyes. They were not gods, and because of this until they complete 17-years-old (the age their parents had when they ascended) they would age at the speed a human would, but they are immortal (like Apollo's muses, that are immortal even if they are not goddess).

- They are with their grandpa – informs Annabeth, with a tired smile – He and Amphitrite are spoiling them.

Meanwhile, the mortals were open-mouthed. That man was Estelle's bother? And wasn't him and that lady who showed up in a picture the actress and director Piper McLean had posted with the athlete (and recordist) in freefly Jason Grace (her husband), the jewelry designer Hazel Levesque, the eccentric inventor Leo Valdez and that famous zoologist Frank Zhank? The picture with a weird caption saying that it was the first time in years the seven of them met without the children?!

Did this meant that Estelle knew those famous people?

The answer is yes, but she didn't go out advertising it for everyone, it would be weird asking for autographs (that people would certainly ask for) from people who had changed her diapers.

The coach finally got out of trance and cleaned his throat, attracting attention.

- Percy? Annabeth? – he said – What are you doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you guys, but...

The two gods turned to their old friend, smiling.

- David! – said Percy, approaching and hugging him – It's been 15 years, dude! How are you?

- You seem to have aged well, David – geeted Annabeth, also with a smile. – Did you keep in touch with anyone from our class?

- Not as well as you guys – mutterd the teacher, before raising his voice and saying – I'm fine, me and Andrew got married and we are happy.

- Andrew? – asked Percy – wasn't him the boy that loved extreme sports and kept looking at you all the time?

- That's him – confirms David – besides him, I don't have much contact with the rest of the guys, but we still have a group chat on the cellphone, no one put you guys on it because no one had any news about you after prom and neither of you had a cellphone at the time.

The two exchanged a glance and Annabeth said:

- Yes, we apologize for that, but things got a little chaotic after High School, so we only kept in touch with people from the community.

- Right... I remember the rumors... - said David sending a pointed glance to the couple.

- They were not true – Percy is quick to say, at the same time Estelle asks:

- What rumors?

- Everyone thought that your brother and Annabeth were involved with some mafia, with plenty of people showing up at school and talking in codes – explains David.

Estelle starts laughing like crazy at that.

Percy sighs and say:

- Anyway, when Paul told us that you were now the coach of the team, we took advantage of the fact that Telle is on the team and came to visit.

It hadn't been Paul, but they couldn't say that it had been Estelle, as she had just figured it out and hadn't used the phone since.

- Oh! – said the coach – Hum... If you want too, we are going to do a alumni meeting with the class next month... Everyone is going to bring the children and everything, so...

- We will try to show up – says Annabeth, what definitely meant that they would go.

The couple and David exchanged phone numbers (they were gods and didn't need to worry about attracting monsters, and Leo had created a phone safe for demigods and that had signal even in Olympus, Atlantis and The Underworld) so that the teacher would be able to give them more details about the meeting.

Percy also gave some tips about swimming to the team.

When the training was over, the couple and Estelle said goodbye at went to the parking lot.

Seeing the car that Percy had come with, Estelle gave a excited squeal:

- You came with the Rolls-Royce?

And she ran to the car, that was surrounded by people.

Annabeth sighed and Percy laughed.

- She is spending too much time with Leo.

They had already told Paul that they would take Estelle to the mall or something after they picked her up from school, so they didn't wait for him.

Let's just say that this visit gave the mortals a subject to talk about during the next week.

And the only thing that bothered Estelle was that now her classmates won't stop asking her for autographs from the 7 (besides Percy and Annabeth, who were not famous in the mortal world).
