When you're working at the restaurant, you're normally going to have instances where the customer would always lie and always get the workers in trouble. However, if you're like Rody, you have a very high tendency to get creative. The working industry has a lot of perks, but he shows his experience on his sleeves, and that's the one thing he hates.

"Sir, this is what you order."

"Like hell I did!! I order main, not side!!"

Forcing a smile on his face, but his other thoughts, he really wanted to strangle this man. Even if he could, he doesn't wanna lose his job and go to prison.

"Sir—

"Get me the your boss—"

"Sir, Let me tell you something. . .

In the kitchen The only sound anyone can hear is the chef cooking and preparing meals, but occasionally the faded conversation or laughter of the customers would be heard—if briefly. However, there was a faint banging noise on the table resuming conversation, but it felt more off. Something that would never happen in a restaurant. Vincent could have looked out of the kitchen window to see what happened or more likely walked out to see what happened, considering how he heard that the situation ended quickly. Leading him to think what happened.

The hell is happening out there?

Why did it feel like something happened?

Am I overthinking this?

...probably not.

After the day I ended, Rody decided to clean the restaurant. Maybe to let out some anger after what happened. "Did—Did you clean the restaurant?" Vincent asked.

"Why not? I didn't want to have that habit of going to work then going home. Also, maybe I might get paid a little bit more."

"That's never gonna happen."

"At least I tried."

Rody sat on the first booth taking out the leftovers that he was gifted with and decided to eat here. maybe he was lazy or maybe he didn't wanna spend money on the train as his bike was still broken.

"You're going to eat your leftovers here?"

"Are you going to assume anything I do is just covered in bad luck or something?"

"And yes, I am...Even if, it lacks of love"

"Rody, you spilled soup on a customer today."

"Hey, I "almost" did. I just accidentally tricked myself over."

"Sure you did."

"A girl? You're doing this for girl?"

"Yes I am, maybe for myself."

"Uh-huh."

". . ."

"You have family or have a normal childhood?"

". . ."

"What?"

"I don't know how to start a conversation, ok?"

"I have a half sister, she lives in Korea"

"You see her sometimes?"

"we used to call each other once in a while, but we haven't been."

"It's—uh—sad?"

"...outside of that I have limited contact with my parents"

"So a normal childhood?"

"I suppose."

"You?"

"Less than."

"Less than, what?"

"Ideal, my parents divorced, and mostly grew up with my dad."

". . ."

"After the divorce, I had a somewhat normal childhood."

The awkward silence comes and went as quickly before Vincent cough awkwardly. "How—how is the leftovers?"

". . ."

"It's bitter."

"Pardon?"

"It's good."

"A tape recorder?"

"Yes?"

"Why do you have that?"

"Come on Chef, sometimes some customers will lie about their food being not what they ordered and get me in trouble for it—This happened several times in a row today

"I—"

"And besides, I don't yell be by you anyways"

"Are you supposed to be implying?"

"Something about you? Chef, I won't dare."

"..."

"Don't give me that look."

After finishing his meal He went behind the counter where the cash register was pulling out a box a very well design box.

"A gift?"

"Of course! As a thank you for giving me the leftovers."

"So why not gift?"

"What is it?"

"..."

He opened the box, and within it, there was a butcher knife. It was from a well-known cutlery brand. Kind of question how he was able to afford it. "A butcher knife!" Rody says warmly.

"You like it?"

"It's great, thank you."

"You're welcome, Vince!"

"It's "Chef" to you."

"Ah! Right, you're welcome Chef."

"...........................It's lovely like you"

"What?"

"Nothing, just leave."
