Arjun, Priya, and a group of officers hid among the shadows outside the district office, waiting for Malik’s men. They heard vehicles approaching, headlights cutting through the darkness.
Arjun whispered, “Everyone ready? On my signal.”
As Malik’s men stepped out, Arjun called out, “Freeze! You’re under arrest!”
The men, caught off guard, tried to run, but the officers quickly surrounded them. Priya captured everything on camera, knowing this footage would expose Malik’s operations.
One of the men spat angrily, “You think this is over, Verma? Malik will bury you.”
Arjun replied coolly, “Let him try. The people deserve the truth, and they’ll see it.”
The next day, Arjun receives a chilling message from Malik—a veiled threat against Priya and Shashi, warning him to back off or suffer personal losses.
Arjun sat in his office, staring at the message. Priya entered, noticing his grim expression.
“What happened, Arjun?” she asked, concerned.
He showed her the message. “It’s from Malik. He’s threatening you, Priya. And Shashi.”
Priya’s eyes blazed. “So he’s playing dirty now? He won’t silence me. We’re too close to exposing them.”
Arjun clenched his fists. “But I can’t risk your safety. We need to be careful, Priya.”
She touched his arm gently. “We’ve come this far, Arjun. We’re in this together, no matter what.”
