That evening, Arjun receives an urgent call. An attack on one of the local voting centers has occurred—a clear warning to back off.
Arjun arrived at the site, only to find shattered glass and debris. He spotted Priya talking to a shaken election officer, and he joined her.
“What happened here?” he asked, his face grim.
The officer, voice trembling, replied, “Sir, a group of men came, armed… They said we should follow their orders or the entire election process will be compromised.”
Arjun’s jaw tightened. “They think fear will make us back down. They’re wrong.”
Priya took his arm, concern in her voice. “Arjun, they’re sending a message. You can’t take this lightly.”
He looked at her, determination in his eyes. “I know. But we can’t let them scare us into silence.”
Later, as Arjun, Priya, and Shashi discuss their next steps, they receive an unexpected visitor—an informant from Dubey’s syndicate with vital information. The informant, a young man named Rakesh, spoke quickly, his voice filled with urgency. “Sir, I don’t have much time. I work with them, but I’ve seen too much. I can’t be part of it anymore.”
Arjun nodded, encouraging him to continue. “Go on, Rakesh. We’ll protect you.”
Rakesh glanced over his shoulder before continuing, “There’s a man named Malik. He’s the real power behind Dubey’s network, and he’s planning something huge—targeting the district offices, media, everything that threatens their hold.”
Priya leaned forward, her eyes widening. “When is this happening?”
Rakesh whispered, “Tomorrow night. They’ll stop at nothing.”
Arjun exchanged a look with Priya and Shashi. “Thank you, Rakesh. Your information will save lives.”
Rakesh nodded. “Just promise me… if anything happens, protect my family.”
