"Why?! Why?! Why do I have to be me, Papa?! Why?!" Tears. "Why?! Why do I have to bury everything?! Why?! Why can't I be who I want to be?!"

"Light." Papa's voice calm.

"Why do I have to be positive all the time when I want to cry?! Why?! Why can't I just lose it all and curse the world?! Why?! Why do I have to be like this?!" Tears and fury.

"I named you Light for a reason." Papa's face has no expressions.

"I didn't tell you to do so! I didn't tell you to name me! I didn't tell you to give me birth!" Tears, fury, resentment. "Why do I have to be who you want me to be?!"

"I want you to be what is right for the situation." Papa didn't blink. He didn't blink once when he asked me to run away from the house with Golden and Grey. He didn't blink once when he told me to leave Dark behind. He didn't blink once when he told me that I have to give up on my big brother to protect us all.

"Papa! I'm not your toy! I am your son!" I screamed, I screamed loudest as possible. "I am your son, please! Please, don't put me into the situation where I have to be someone worse than an enemy!"

"It it only you I can trust, Light." If Papa can only see...

"I'm just a kid, Papa." I'm just a kid, wanting to choose between what I want to have for a breakfast and not between who to save. My big brother or rest of my family. I'm just a kid.

"Dark is a rigid boy, he does not possess the flexibility you do." Papa's words felt like a curse on my skin. "He can be a wall to the family but not sneaky doors. He will never agree to give up..."

"And I will?" It is a curse.

"Four of you are the pillars of the Grasso house, Light," A statement. "Dark, the one who never forgives the guilty people. Light, the one who never punishes the innocent people. Grey, the one who is never blinded by evil or good and Golden, the one who never possessed by the fortune."

"Papa..."

"Break the one pillar and the house is demolished." Papa's are the knife that is bleeding me slowly. Painfully. "You four are not my children but morals, Light, and I will do anything to walk on the path I built all my life."

"Why me?" Why does it always have to be? Why does it always have to be me who plays the bad guy while wearing the mast of good? Why?!

"Light, the one who never punishes the innocent people." Papa said, leaning back on the chair of his office, at three in the morning. "Grey and Golden, you're bound to protect them. They're innocent."

"And Dark isn't?" I'd kill myself before...

"He is not." Papa said. "Neither you are."
