The last person I ever expected to show up in Chicago was Grey, my little brother. I had talked to him a few days ago and he was in Cairo, doing his special assassin training.

I've always known about the relation Miss Berenguer and Grey shared but I didn't expect him to fly thousand miles just to help her to catch an idiot. Arthur Abney, utterly foolish person who got caught in less than an hour by two people.

Although,

I knew nothing could save or kill Arthur Abney if Grey decided to catch him alive. He is the most eligible assassin for a reason for he has not failed a single mission till now. Trying to kill Arthur Abney before Grey was inviting troubles,

Also, I couldn't have taken a risk of violence when Miss Berenguer was present at the scene, neither I could have let myself be under the headlights.

I love my brother, I am proud of him from my core and I'm doing everything for the sake of my family, but, I have to say... everything I planned got complicated the moment Grey showed up.

Now, I'll have to find another way to shut Arthur Abney.

.

"Does Moon know about your fake engagement?" Grey broke the silence after fifteen minutes of driving. He glimpsed at me through the rear view mirror and those siren black eyes turned even darker.

"She does." I nod, relaxing on the backseat. I have been tossed out like a fly by my own brother when he told me... ordered me to sit away from... my fiancée.

My fiancée.

I'm supposed to sit with her, am I not?

"And she is okay with it?" Grey used to talk less, rather, be mute. He has never questioned Dark or my actions or decisions but here he is... examining me like a father would examine his daughter's boyfriend.

"Moon has given us the permission to get married." I told firmly because, Moon rules the house and having her permission is the last call. "She trusts me and my decisions. Also, this arrangement is not going to hurt anyone. I'll take all the responsibility of Miss Berenguer's reputation."

Grey didn't reply and moved his eyes back on the road. His face cold, serious and probably disappointed because there was a line on his forehead.

"It's a mutual agreement, Grey, just for a year." Miss Berenguer said placing her delicate palm on Grey's shoulder, moving it to his head and she rubbed his hair leisurely. "You can call it just another mission and nothing else."

Her fingers played with Grey's short hair, her eyes looked at him with all... adoration. No death stare, no coldness and no warnings. She looks at Grey unlike she looks at me.

"When will you be married?" Grey is way too clear with his questions.

"We haven't decide the date, but, sooner the better." Miss Berenguer looked back and our eyes met. Her hair waved with the wind rushing inside the window and the air brought her scent to me. Jasmine, vanilla and cashmere wood.
