Sneak Peak of an Oneshot I'm working on

A/n: Sorry I haven't updated in a while been a little busy! But anyway this is a request I'm currently working on called The blueberry Sidekick (Jackie x sidekick reader). I was thinking after this oneshot i might start working on Christmas themed oneshots, I was wondering if anyone has any Christmas themed ideas! 

"My break was uneventful. I got a question for you (Y/n) How many hours of sleep did you get the past two days? Don't even think about lying to me" Jackie replied with zero humor in his voice sounding strict yet in his blue eyes contained concern for your health noticing on the TV you spend a lot more time patrolling the city than usual and holding you closely he could see heavy bags underneath your eyes making him worry more.

"Ah... Well, you see..." You mumbled feeling heat rising to your cheeks not knowing how to answer that question without worrying Jackie and seeing his not impressed serious expression only made you squirm in his arms. "5 hours in total" You eventually said feeling your friend getting rigid before slowly putting you down back on the roof.

For the next twenty seconds there was a tense unbreakable silence between the two of you with Jackie not saying anything but his bright red superhero costume stretched tightly around his biceps flexing his arms angrily. Unable to handle seeing your friend getting more angrier by the second you raised your hands in front of your chest opening your mouth prepared to say something but instead Jackie without missing a beat whacked you behind the head.

"Five hours of sleep in two days (Y/n)! What were you thinking? You better head home right now or else I handcuff you to the bed to make you sleep" Jackie growled taking a menacing step forward staring down at you. Even though Jackie looked angry looking ready to toss you over his shoulder to carry you home you could see in his blue eyes that he was worried about your health, opening your mouth to calm your friend an unexpected sound broke the atmosphere.

BANG

A loud piercing gunshot rang out nearby causing you and Jackie to turn around facing the direction of the sound a few seconds go by without any other sounds until shouting could be heard coming from one of the nearby alleyways.

"Sounds like there's trouble Jackie! Let's go and before you say anything after this I promise to go home and rest" You spoke arguing to stay and help this one final time seeing that Jackie opened his mouth to tell you to go home but swiftly closed it a small grin on his face.

"Lead the way partner! I'm warning you though no more being a hero for the rest of the night after this" With that you used your magic causing your hands to glow blue levitating in the air as you floated in the direction with Jackie easily following you jumping over gaps landing on top of a few rooftops.

Two minutes later you and Jackie spotted a group of five men surrounding a single individual who held their shoulder in pain and narrowing your eyes you could see a growing dark patch staining their shirt. The leader of the group wearing a black leather jacket with small metal spikes on the shoulders held a gun in his hand pointing it directly at the person on the ground while the other members laughed enjoying causing pain to random people.

"No time to waste! Time to swoop in before something worse can happen" Mumbling a spell you seemingly vanished casting a place swap spell to swap places with the injured civilian not hearing Jackie trying to tell you to wait making him groan.

"Damn it (Y/n)! They are a ruthless group of gangs that uses high powered weaponry" Jackie groaned knowing this situation could be dangerous pinching the bridge of his nose as he saw the injured person appearing on the rooftop.

Quickly telling the person to keep pressure on the wound Jackie leaped over the edge of the roof following after you as he jumped down in time to see your hands glowing blue turning the gun into bubbles. The gang clearly shocked stared at you not jumping into action until you swiftly performed the nut cracker on the leader kicking him in between the legs sending him falling onto the ground.

"What are you waiting for idiots! Kill that freak now!" The leader angrily shouted from his position on the floor causing the rest of the gang to snap out of it pull out their knifes but another surprise came out of nowhere as Jackie landed from above delivering a hard punch towards one of the gang's members sending them stumbling backwards into the wall.

You and Jackie worked in perfect sync effortlessly taking down the gang members from your blasts of magic sending them flying towards Jackie who easily throw a few strong punches knocking a few teeth out in the process. Just as you took care of the getting rid of all the weapons you saw the leader bloody and bruised leaning against the wall aiming a fancy weapon towards the back of Jackie and without thinking you jumped in the way shielding your friend as you get blasted by a blue ray sending you flying backwards.
