Before start reading, I am aware that into the pit took place in 1985, though to make it match up with Michael's timeline I set it two years back in 1983!

"Hey guys! Today, I am going to be sneaking into Jeff's Pizza. Now, you may be wondering 'Y/n! Why would you be sneaking into Jeff's Pizza? There's nothing interesting about it!'."

"Back in 1983 Jeff's Pizza was actually known as 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizza' before it was shut down." You shot a smile into your camcorder.

"So today, I brought some bolt cutters with me—I stole them from my dad, but nobody needs to know!—obviously my camcorder, and a flashlight!"

You grunted as you set down your camcorder gently on the concrete and heaved up the rather large pair of tools from your bag. Fumbling with the bolt cutters for a moment, you managed to cut through the chains with a loud clang as they fell to the ground, some edges getting caught on the fence on the way down.

You stuffed the tools back into your bag and pulled out a flashlight, slinging the bag around your torso and picking your device back up.

"Time to go in!" You giggled, the recording catching a glimpse of your face wrinkling in excitement.

You shuffled past the gate and started towards the building. The doors were awfully loud, then again, this place was years old, it shouldn't have been too much of a shock.

You clicked on your flashlight, there was a LOT of dust, that was for sure, you coughed as a cloud of it wafted into your face, stepping all the way inside, letting the loud, creaky doors slam behind you.

The place was practically empty, as per usual, the counters and tables that never seemed to be cleaned, stained by grease, the tiled floor dirty with skid marks of shoes, probably from the little kids that would pay a visit every so often.

Suddenly you turned to a corner, it was a ball pit, the one you were never allowed in. You had an idea, a smug grin making its way onto your face.

You jogged over to it, looking around before setting your bag and flashlight down, stepping both feet into the pit and taking a seat, sighing.

"I'm not allowed to go in these because they're 'too dirty'." You rolled your eyes.

What was there to do now? There wasn't really much else to explore. You took a breath of fresh air before ducking down and letting yourself sink into the ball pit.

You didn't really know how much time had passed, you hadn't been under there for more than a minute though, before you started to hear laughter and shouting, and dishes clinking together?

You were about to sit up only for something to fall on your head, then you got a whiff of diaper, you sat up, gagging and coughing, there was a sudden sea of children filling the ball pit that was empty just a moment ago.
You realized you'd also lost your camcorder, you dug for it for a moment, only to realize it was probably a lost cause.

You looked up, your nose scrunched and your face holding a very displeased expression, only for it to turn into one of awe.

The place was bright, and full of colour, there was even music you could hear from a stage that wasn't just there a few seconds ago... orrr all of the people there- but! This was a completely new experience.

There were people with big hair and neon clothing, little kids running around with pizza sauce all over their faces, even some teens, maybe around your age. You didn't know whether to be frightened or amazed.

You stood up, brushing off your clothing and stepping out of the pit, an array of colours now flooding your vision more properly.

You blinked a few times, looking around, you walked forward, avoiding the children running around the place wreaking havoc.

You looked at the stage, now able to get a better look, there were animatronics, in fact THE animatronics, they looked just like the photos you'd seen, a blue bunny with a strikingly red guitar, a yellow chicken baring a cupcake in its right hand, and the iconic brown bear with a black top hat.

You huffed, air puffing out through your nose. You turned around, scanning the room before spotting a group of girls who looked nice enough for you.

You approached the girls, standing there awkwardly before waving your hand to get their attention, they turned to you, making you stiffen up.

"um... Heyyy, sorry- what's the date?" The blonde sipping on her drink shook her head slightly, "October 14th?" She said it like it was obvious.

You stood there, pressing on without words.

"1983..." Her eyebrows furrowed, her friends also giving you weird stares, as if saying 'is this person crazy or something?' without actually saying it.

"Yeahhh- Right! right. Thanks." You pressed your lips together before turning the other direction.

What the hell was going on?
