Luke P.O.V.
I've been busy since dad has come back and kitten has been a little more clingy than usual. I don't understand why he's so clingy but every time I get home from work,he runs to me,screaming about how happy he is that I'm home and tells me not to leave the next day;but I always give him the same answer,"I have to kitten!" Dad will usual show up from upstairs around this time saying something about how he's been trying to clean kittens room. I'm a little uncomfortable with the thought of my dad staying so close to kitten but I think he's changed...

Kitten,he's a giggling,wriggling mess as I tickle his sides. He squirms and laughs and meows. It makes me chuckle as he meows one last time before I stop leaving him breathless and exhausted. I lay beside him and wrap my arms around his waist,he wraps his arms around my middle as his breathing evens out. We get comfy as I start to hear the ringtone of my phone which was currently on the floor due to our tickle fight. I sighed and pulled myself off the bed as best I could with kitten still on me and grabbed it flopping back on the bed. I quickly answer as kitten starts to stir signaling he was asleep. I chuckle and actually answer my secretary.

"Mr.Hemmings speaking."

"Sir,I'm sorry to interrupt your weekend but the lawyer's wife is here due to some business with you, her and her husband. She needs to speak with you. She said it's urgent."

"Ok,well thank you Jenny. I'll be down in a few minutes."

"Ok sir."

"Ok Well bye Jen-"

"Also sir,you may have to go on a business trip for 3 days to meet with Mr.Gilinsky and Mr.Johnson."

"Wait! I thought that was scheduled for a month from now?!"

"I know sir but something has come up in Mr.Johnsons family and they have somewhere to be in a month,sir."

"What happened?"I asked out of fury but immediately regretted it when I heard her words.

"Sir,Jack Johnson's wife and 2 daughters were in an accident last night. His wife died on impact but his daughters survived. They're going through treatment right now,sir."

"Oh.. well tell him I'm praying for his family a d I'm sorry for his loss."

"Yes,sir."

"Also Jenny, I'll be there in a few minutes. Bye Jenny."

"Ok sir,bye."

With that I hung up and looked at the now awake baby in my arms. He looked up at me with those piercing green eyes and smiled sleepily. I kissed his forehead and slipped away from his grasp causing him to groan. I looked at the now sprawled out cat on my bed. I chuckled and started getting dressed. He was watching me closely. I changed into my black skinny jeans and my you complete mess shirt. I slipped on my vans and saw kitten sit up. He crawled towards me and perched himself at the corner of the bed. Curiosity filling his eyes he tilted his head to the left a little. He looked absolutely adorable when he was confused. I sighed lightly and broke the comfortable silence.

"You wanna come with me,kitten?"

"May I ask where we'd be going,Daddy?"

"You may and to my office. I have some business so you'd sit with Jenny while I take care of my stuff."

"Ok Daddy! I actually like Jenny, I think she likes me since she compliments me so much." He said while finding my favorite shirt I bought him. Green plaid and black skinny jeans that compliment his little bum so well.

"No I think she's just a horny little cat that wants to keep you away from me so she can do stuff with you."

"Daddy,I think that's icky. I don't like girls especially not that girl. Not to be rude but ya know..."

"Yeah, I guess I do kitten. Come on we can't be late."

He nodded before following me out of our house and into the car. We drove there quite quickly. We walked in holding hands and he went to Jenny behind the desk and I went to my office. I stepped in and saw Mr.Neakles wife,Janey. "Hello Janey, what brings you by so late?" I ask and sit on the corner of my desk,she stands and walks to me. She says something chilling,"I think Michaels in trouble. Y-Your dad.. he's not... he's not changed. He followed you here... he's forcing me to help him so I'm not."

Thats when I heard it. That same familiar scream. The same person I had fallen in love with screaming for me.

Boom!

The girls voice stopped.

Boom!

Kittens voice evaporated into the air as I ran down the long hallway leading to the desk. I reached the doorway. I saw Jenny in front of Kitten protecting him..well was protecting him. She was shot in the stomach,blood pouring out of the wound. Kitten,behind her shaking but unharmed. Janey and I charged at my armed father before Boom! and Boom! Boom! Janey was on the floor,shot in the leg. I was able to get my father on the floor and the gun out of his hand. I was now armed and he stayed where he was. Kitten had now dialed 911 and cop sirens were blaring. I quickly dropped the gun as soon as the cops got my father in cuffs. I ran over to kitten behind Jenny. He clutched to me and just sobbed. I picked him up bridal style. I felt something warm hit my stomach from his side. The bullet went through Jenny and hit Michael. He was shot and I'm bleeding. I-I was shot in the left arm.

We were rushed to the hospital and both taken to surgery.

I woke up with pain in my arm and looked at my surroundings. I'm in a hospital bed and I don't have Kitten. I yell for a nurse and soon one comes in. She smiles but it quickly fades when she sees it's me. She mouths something I don't understand before the doctor comes in.

"Luke Hemmings,is it?"

I nodded.

He sighs sadly before saying,
"Michael Clifford lost alot of blood and was in shock when we took him to surgery. We gave him blood transfusions and calmed him. He's now asleep due to the medicine we gave him. He's going to be ok but he may have nightmares or night terrors. We are going to give you something for that when he wakes."

I sighed and said,"Can I please see him?"
The doctor nodded and they rolled his bed in my room. He layed asleep next to me. I was happy. I don't understand why I'm happy but I am.

His eyes started to flutter and he woke up only to see me across from him. He smiled and winced as he stretched.

"Babe,you got shot and had or get surgery."

"Really daddy? That seems scary."

The doctor came in and said,"Mr.Hemmings,Mr.Clifford I will be sending you both home in 4 business days. In the mean time is there anything you would like?"

I smiled and looked at Mikey. I took a deep breath and said,"Michael Gordon Clifford I know this is not the right time but will you do the honor of making me the happiest man in the world. Will you marry me?"

His eyes widened with every word but as soon as I finished he nodded vigorously before saying/screaming,"YES YES A MILLION TIMES YES!!"After that I got up and wobbled to his bed. I kissed him sweetly before slipping the ring I had kept for that night before. He smiled and kissed me again.

Everyone came in and clapped and congratulated us. The priest blessed our marriage and we got married right there in that hospital. He gave us wedding rings and we said our vows. We kissed and it was official. Michael..Kitten wad now mine all mine.

The love of my life is finally all mine. I'm so fucķing happy. We are going to have the best time once we get out of here. I'm happy now.
