She walked off and went to roll call they both were riding together

It was right outside of Lilly's school

Lucy smiles gratefully at him and watches out the window till she sees her daughter

Tim looked over at her and saw her starting to get emotional

He walked over and Lucy stepped out of the car

Lucy:i didn't engage with her i stayed 50 feet i didn't do anything wrong

He walked off and Lucy stood there for a minute
Once she got back in the shop Tim stayed silent he wasn't gonna push her if she didn't want to talk

Lucy:i got a hearing tomorrow to discuss seeing Lilly

Lucy:my Lawyer thinks that having someone willing to give a positive statement about me will help you don't have to say yes i get it but i was wondering if you could help me

The next day in court
L:your honor if you would allow i have someone who would like to make a statement about my client
J:ok
Tim:your honor i just wanted to be here today to say this i have known Lucy Chen since before her daughter was born and i saw what kind of mom she was before things happened but shes gotten better back to happy even all she talks about is the amount of love she has for her daughter and i strongly believe that given the chance she would be the best mom to that little girl
J:thank you we will take your statement into consideration
Tim looked over at Lucy who mouthed thank you to him the hearing moved on and it finally came to the end
J:well i have taken everyones statements into consideration and I think that its only right that we give miss Chen a chance to be the mother she wants to be so that being said im granting you partial custody 3 days a week every other week
Lucy:thank you
Court ended and she walked over to Tim
Tim:you deserve this
Lucy:thank you
Tim:of course
Ethan:congratulations
Lucy:thank you
Ethan:so we need to discuss days
Lucy:well im off Friday through Sunday every weekend
Ethan:that works we will have to start next week im taking her to my parents this weekend for my moms birthday

Her and Tim drove in together so he drove her to the park and she got out and walked over to her ex and daughter

She hugged her really tight

Ethan:mama just had to deal with some grown up things

Lucy walked to the door and answered it and saw her daughter standing there

She ran past her and to the kitchen
Ethan:don't make me regret this her bedtime is 8:30

He walked off and left them alone
Lucy:you wanna watch a movie

They spent the weekend in watching movies and playing games

A few days later her and Tim are on patrol when they get a missile alert

She tried to call her ex but he didn't answer she kept trying

They drove to her school and Lucy ran out and went and picked up Lilly

Lucy:because we need to be here to be safe right now

Lucy:i took her on my non custody day
Tim:given the circumstances i think it will be ok

A few hours later it was over

Ethan:you had no right to pick her up its not your days with her you can't just take her when you feel like it im calling my lawyer your clearly still not ready

Tim:look dude she tried to call you when the alert went out you didn't answer and she got scared for yalls child's safety so she picked her up and got her to shelter i get your trying to protect your child but keeping her away from her mother when all she did was protect her well i would say maybe your the not fit parent
Lucy:Ethan please i just want her safe i would never do anything to go against you like that i
Respect our custody agreement i do everything im asked im begging you don't take her away again
Ethan:fine given the circumstances im gonna let it go but next time its over

Ethan takes Lilly's hand and starts walking but then stops

She goes back to her dad and they leave and Lucy turns to Tim
