Aurora woke up to the sound of rain, its rhythmic tapping on the windows of Charlie's house. She tried sitting up but couldn't because of her mind refusing to be quiet. Every time she closed her eyes, Finn's face appeared—his blue eyes, intense and unreadable, the way he'd stepped away from her earlier in the woods. He hadn't kissed her, but there was something electric between them. Something she couldn't ignore.

The town of Forks had felt strange ever since her arrival, like it was holding its breath, waiting for something. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this place and more to Finn than he was letting on. His warning to be careful only made her more curious.

She finally gave up trying to sleep, throwing the covers off and slipping out of bed. The house was quiet, and Bella hadn't returned yet from the Cullens' house. She got ready and wore a dark green long sleeve with a pair of black jeans and black converse to go with it, deciding to take a walk through the woods. She had to clear her head or at least try to.

The woods was silent as Aurora made her way down the narrow path, the only sound the soft crunch of leaves beneath her shoes. There was something unsettling about the stillness, like nature itself was holding its breath, just like what she was doing.

Aurora paused when she reached the clearing. Finn had been here earlier, and she couldn't help but wonder if he would show up again. She leaned against a nearby tree, her breath coming out in small clouds in the cold air, her eyes scanning the darkness.

A rustle came from the trees behind her and before she could react, she turned to see Finn standing there, emerging from the shadows like he was part of the night itself. His dark hair was wet from the rain, and his blue eyes gleamed under the dim light. For a moment, neither of them spoke.

"You again," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Finn studied her for a moment. "Can't say I'm surprised to see you out here."

Aurora crossed her arms, trying to keep her composure. "I could say the same for you."

Finn took a step closer, the space between them shrinking with each passing second. "I happen to live near here," he said and continued with "Forks isn't really the best place for someone like you."

Aurora frowned. "Someone like me?" she echoed. "What does that mean?"

Finn hesitated to answer her. The hesitation made her heart race. Finally, he spoke, his voice low. "You don't belong here. You're not like us. You won't understand."

Aurora's frustration grew, and she stepped toward him. "What do you mean, 'like us'? Who are you, Finn? What's your deal?"

He flinched at her, his eyes flashing with something she couldn't quite understand Then, as quickly as the tension had built, it seemed to evaporate. He stepped back, shaking his head.

"I'm not the one you should be asking about," he said, his voice cold now. "There's a lot more at play here than you realize. This town—it's not just some sleepy place where nothing happens. There are things in these woods. Things that can't be explained."

Aurora's curiosity was burning brighter than ever. "Like what?"

Finn didn't answer at first. Instead, he looked around, his expression darkening. "Like me," he said finally, his voice barely audible. "And like the people I'm connected to. The ones you'll meet soon enough."

Aurora's heart skipped a beat. "You're connected to someone here?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Finn's lips pressed into a line. "I'm connected to all of them."

There was something in his words, a dangerous undertone that made her uneasy but also more intrigued. She wasn't about to let him go without answers. "Who are they? Who are you?"

Finn let out a deep breath, stepping even farther back. "I can't explain everything. Not yet." He paused, his eyes flicking to the trees around them. "You should go back. It's not safe out here, not for you. Not now."

Aurora hesitated, her mind spinning with more questions than answers. "What are you talking about? I'm fine."

"No," Finn insisted, his voice hardening. "You're not." He took another step back. "Trust me. Go home."

Before she could argue, he turned and vanished into the trees, disappearing as quickly as he had appeared. Aurora stood there, her heart pounding in her chest, unable to move.

There was something she hadn't understood in his words, something he hadn't said. He was hiding something for sure.

And what was he doing in the woods by himself? Why is he alone? Was he actually alone? What's up with Forks and why does Bella and Finn keeps telling her that this place isn't safe???

Thoughts filled her mind and it wasn't just about him, it was about Forks too. About her sister, Bella. About everything.

Aurora didn't know what to think. But one thing she did know: she wasn't going to leave this town until she figured out exactly what was going on. Something dark and dangerous was lurking beneath the surface of this town and Aurora was determined to uncover it, no matter what.

The next morning, Bella finally returned from the Cullens' house, her eyes tired but distant. She had a quiet sadness about her, a weight that Aurora could feel without needing to be told. Bella had always been good at hiding things, but Aurora could tell she was struggling.

"Hey," Aurora said, walking into the living room where Bella was sitting, staring out the window. "You okay?"

Bella turned slowly, her face softening when she saw her. "Yeah, just tired."

Aurora raised an eyebrow. "I don't think that's all it is. You've been acting... strange. Did something happen last night?"

Bella shook her head, though the avoidance in her eyes was evident. "Nothing. Just... stuff, but I'm fine." Her sister gave a small, reassuring smile, hoping to keep Aurora from getting too curious.

Aurora crossed her arms. "You're not fine. You're hiding something. And I think it's something to do with Finn."

Bella's expression hardened, her jaw tightening. "I told you to be careful with him," she said in a low voice. "You don't know him. You don't know what he's capable of."

Aurora felt a cold shiver run down her spine. "What do you mean? What's going on with him?"

Bella didn't answer immediately. She looked away, thinking about her words carefully. Finally, she sighed and stood up. "I'll tell you everything. Just... not now. Please, just trust me for now."

Aurora's frustration was building, but she nodded. "Fine, but I want to know the truth. Soon."

Bella's eyes softened, but her expression was full of something else—something Aurora couldn't quite name. She turned away, walking into the kitchen without another word.

Aurora stood there, her heart pounding. She could feel the pull of the unknown, the mystery that surrounded Forks, growing stronger by the day. She didn't know what was going to happen next, but she was no longer afraid. In fact, she was eager to learn the truth—no matter where it led.
