Long chapter, take time to read...

The soft sound of the alarm broke the peaceful silence of the morning. Yeonjun groaned, his eyes barely open as the noise penetrated his dreams. "Soobin-ah, turn off that..." he whined, pulling the blanket over his head.

Soobin, still half-asleep, shifted beside him and reached for the alarm, shutting it off with a sleepy sigh. He gently nudged Yeonjun. "Good morning," he said with a smile, his voice a bit hoarse from sleep.

Yeonjun blinked up at him, still groggy. "We don't have school. Why did you turn it on?" His voice was muffled, eyes barely open as he clung to Soobin's shirt.

"Because you need to wake up, Jun-ah," Soobin replied with a small chuckle. Before Yeonjun could protest further, Soobin lifted him effortlessly in his arms.

"YAHHH!" Yeonjun yelped, his eyes wide in surprise as he found himself being carried to the bathroom. "Soobin, what are you doing?!"

"Take a bath," Soobin said casually, placing him in front of the bathtub. "And then we're going to the doctor's appointment I scheduled for you."

Yeonjun groaned, his pout growing deeper. "I already told you, Soobin. I'm not going to see the doctor. I'm perfectly healthy! Look at me!" He exaggerated his movements, wiggling his arms and puffing out his chest like a kid. "Super healthy, see?!"

Soobin bent down to Yeonjun's level, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Your cuteness can't stop me today." He pinched Yeonjun's cheek affectionately before standing up and turning toward the door. "Now, wash up. I'll be in the kitchen."

Yeonjun stood still for a moment, sulking in the bathroom, but he knew it was no use. Soobin was determined, and no amount of pouting could change his mind.

Yeonjun found himself in the waiting room of the hospital, staring down at his hands in his lap. He was still pouting, his arms crossed tightly in front of his chest as he glared at the various medical posters on the walls. "I don't need this," he muttered under his breath. "I'm fine."

Soobin, who had been talking to the receptionist, walked back over to Yeonjun, his expression soft but firm. "Jun-ah, you're going to be fine," he reassured him, sitting beside him and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "This is just a routine checkup. Nothing to worry about."

Yeonjun looked up at him with big, pleading eyes, but Soobin only smiled back. "I'll be here with you, okay?" He squeezed Yeonjun's shoulder lightly.

"Yeah," Yeonjun sighed, feeling a little better knowing that Soobin was by his side. He'd never really been fond of doctors or hospitals. His fear of needles and all the medical equipment always made him anxious, but with Soobin here, he felt a bit more at ease.

A nurse called for them, and they both stood up. Yeonjun hesitated but followed Soobin down the hallway. The nurse led them into a small examination room where Yeonjun was asked to change into a hospital gown.

Soobin stayed right beside him the entire time, chatting with him to keep his mind off the upcoming tests. Yeonjun tried his best to act brave, but the sight of the needle on the counter made his stomach churn.

"Don't worry, Jun-ah," Soobin said as he noticed Yeonjun's nervousness. "I'm right here."

Yeonjun gave him a small, grateful smile, trying to calm his racing heart. "I don't know why I'm so scared of this stuff."

Soobin chuckled softly. "You've always been scared of needles." He gave Yeonjun a reassuring pat on the back just as the doctor entered the room.

"Alright, Yeonjun," the doctor said with a warm smile. "We're just going to do a quick checkup. Don't worry. It'll be over before you know it."
