Dorms (Minho POV)

'I can't believe I'm really here," Minho thought, as he set his bag down to knock on the door.

His knock was answered by a person with swept back blonde hair. "Oh, hello! You must be the new trainee. Come on in! You can call me Chan, by the way."
"Oh, thanks. I'm Minho," Minho replied shyly.

He walked into the dorms. Chan was only too glad to show him to his room.

"This is your room. You can keep your bag over there," Chan told him, indicating the cupboard in the room.
Minho complied.

Chan offered to show him around the JYP building later, and Minho accepted.

"We have practice right now. Let's go to the practice room! Follow me," Chan said.
"Okay, let's go."

Chan took the initiative to introduce Minho to the other trainees. "Guys, this is Minho. He's a new trainee here, and I want you all to show him the ropes, alright?"
The trainees nodded and turned to Minho.

"Hi, I'm Hyunjin! I heard from Jisung that you dance well!"
"Oh, yeah. I like dancing," Minho replied. 
Another trainee approached him. "I'm Changbin. I saw you auditioning that day. You were really cool."
Minho thanked him and smiled.

However, there was one question racing around in his head. "Do you guys know where Jisung is?"
A reply came bouncing back. "Huh? You know Jisung? HOW??? Did you guys meet before?!" a trainee he didn't know asked.
"We kind of met after my audition," he said hastily.
On point, the door opened. Jisung rushed in. "Sorry for being late," he apologized, turning to Chan. 
"Late again, Jisung. It's happened thrice this week...*sighs* It's alright. We were just about to start practice anyway," Chan replied.

Chan addressed all the trainees. "As you all know, we have our monthly evaluations coming up in a few weeks. Your results this time will decide who gets to be in the debut team. No pressure, just do your best everyone!"
Everyone nodded.
"I want you guys to decide what you want to perform for the evaluation. I'll check on you all in the afternoon. See you!"
The trainees murmured in assent.

Chan left the room, and the trainees began talking amongst themselves, most of them deciding what they wanted to perform.

Four trainees approached Minho.
"Hi, I'm Felix. It's really nice to have you here! My Korean isn't that great, but I'm still learning."
"Oh, hi! I can help you out with your Korean whenever you like," Minho told Felix.
"Really? Thank you so much!"
"Anytime."

"And I'm Seungmin. Nice to meet you," another trainee said, shaking Minho's hand. Minho nodded.

"I'm Jeongin. I was wondering... could you please help me out with my dancing? It's a bit lacking..." the third trainee shyly said.
"Sure, I can definitely help."
Jeongin grinned. "Thanks!"
"No problem," Minho said, smiling back.

Turning to all of them, Minho asked, "How about all of us practice together for the monthly evaluation?"
"Yeah! Let's do that," Felix replied.
Presently, Jisung joins the group. "Hi guys! I'm in too!" Minho noticed Hyunjin scoff quietly.
Seungmin nodded. "Let's all go to the other practice room, then."
"Okay!" Jeongin took hold of Minho's and Seungmin's hand and the group went to the second practice room.

(in the second practice room)

 Changbin and Jisung went over to the computer.
"Guys, come over here." Changbin called.
"Coming," came a chorus of responses from the others. They crowded around the computer.
Jisung said, "Okay, so Chan hyung, Seungmin, Jeongin, Felix, Changbin hyung and I have already selected our songs. Minho, what do you want to--"
"You've conveniently forgotten that I've selected a song," Hyunjin interrupted.
"Apologies. Hyunjin has also selected his song. In my opinion, he could have chosen a slower rap to match his rapping speed..."
"You're one to talk. Have you looked at yourself? You should dance better."
"You should rap better, then!" 
The two glared at each other. Hyunjin stomped out of the practice room and slammed the door.

Changbin sighed. "What's up with you guys? You fight with each other almost everyday... You can't keep this up. Go and apologise."
"Let him apologise first," Jisung replied.
"There's nothing wrong in apologising first, you know. I'll come with you to find Hyunjin," Minho said.
"Alright..."
Minho turned to the others. "I'll be back soon."
Changbin replied, "Okay. I'll check the vocal recordings you've sent to the official JYP email, and check out a few songs that would suit you. We'll practice our songs as well."
Minho nodded. Taking hold of Jisung's hand, he left the room.

Minho turned to Jisung.
"Would you care to explain what's going on between you and Hyunjin?"
"It's a long story..."
